What do you think? There are umpteen nicknames for when he's little to make it suitable for all ages

Not a name I'd choose but if you like it then why not. Oh yes. Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen. Don't.

Love it and all the various nicknames. Enzo and Lance are my particular favourites.

I really like it.

I prefer the Lawrence spelling, as Laurence makes me think of the French girl name and Llewelyn-Bowen Grin.

Love it. I think it's a really strong sounding name. And love Lawrie for a nickname. I also love Laurie for a girl.

Fab name - classic but not over-used.

Love it with nn Laurie or Lawrie.

Love it, prefer the Laurence spelling though as I like Laurie more than Lawrie.

My friend has a Laurence - nn is Lance.
I also knew a cool grown up one who went by Ren.

We have a great mate who lives with us called Laurie. Top man, annoyingly good at everything! So I like the name because of him.

I love it, but bear in mind nicknames as all the Lawrence's I've known are all known as Loz.

I love it.

Lawrence is traditionally the surname spelling and Laurence the first name.

Both good though, and I think I prefer the Lawrence spelling - it looks stronger to me.

Yep, I like it. Laurence is the standard spelling for a first name, I think.

I've got a 6mo Lawrence. He suits it and I'm still delighted we chose it. We haven't settled into a diminutive version yet but his nickname is Spud. 😊

DS1 is Lawrence. He's a strapping 6 footer now but has been through loads of nicknames as he was growing up.
It's been a good name - everyone can spell it but you won't find many others in school or clubs with the same name. Lots of variations so it can grow with your child but still serious enough for job applications etc.

Good choice!

Nobody like Larry?

Good name, not too popular. I quite like Larry (very Durrels).

My brother is a Lawrence and he doesn't have a nickname, just goes by his full name. I think it's a lovely classical name that grows with a child into an adult.
