I'm not pregnant or anything.

Just remebering a girl I knew at school called Violet Millicent and wondered how people regarded the name.

With horror. Millipede: unattractive segmented insect with excessive numbers of feet. Cent: tiny amount of money.

Love it. If I ever had a DD she would be Millicent.

Love it! But currently probably better used as a middle name... Viola Millicent maybe? (I think I'll put it on our middle name list... thanks :) )

I don't like it, but I also don't like Millie.

There was a Millicent in One Tree Hill. She started out being a nerd (obv) and ended up being a cocaine addict.

I love it. My mother was Millicent, my middle name is millicent as I was born on her birthday and me long awaited twins one of them has Millicent as a middle name.
So no criticisms of it please lol

Not nice at all I'm afraid. I think of milli = thousand and cent = hundred, so it just seems a really odd and unattractive reference. And the feel is prissy and fussy somehow.

I know a couple of folk that have wanted Millie but given this to have a 'proper' name, but the feel of it is so different that they're both very 'No she is Millicent known as Millie, do NOT call her Millicent!'

I'm all for giving proper names but not when you clearly actually don't like the full name very much-!
