I like April best

Scarlet

Congratulations
April is lovely and rare smile

Amber?

Not autumn because she wasn't born in autumn.

user1493330753 Thu 27-Apr-17 23:13:57

She wasn't born in April either blush does it matter?

I've never been keen on Amber (same as Ruby) but thank you smile

I love Violet.

KatherinaMinola Thu 27-Apr-17 23:15:21

Violet is lovely for a March baby smile

teaandakitkat Thu 27-Apr-17 23:16:36

I like Autumn but can you use it if your baby wasn't born I Autumn? I'm not sure.
And I wonder if it's a bit naff to be born in April and called April.
So all in all, I find time-specific names tricky.
I go for Violet

Scarlet is lovely

teaandakitkat Thu 27-Apr-17 23:17:28

Cross post, I see she wasn't born in April. Not sure how that affects my reasoning....

PlymouthMaid1 Thu 27-Apr-17 23:18:09

Scarlet or Violet

BackforGood Thu 27-Apr-17 23:20:05

Don't think you can go for April if not born in April, nor Autumn if not born in Autumn, tbh.

LexieLulu Thu 27-Apr-17 23:22:56

I love April but I think she'll always be asked if she's born in April. Same for autumn. Violet is the nicest as scarlet seems a little overused where I live xx

user1493330753 Thu 27-Apr-17 23:23:17

But then isn't it a bit predictable to give them those names if born in that season/month?

Thanks for the replies!

motheroftwojedi Thu 27-Apr-17 23:25:36

Violet is beautiful and suits a March baby perfectly.

Awwlookatmybabyspider Thu 27-Apr-17 23:26:19

5 weeks old then she wasn't born in April, so that'd sound daft, sorry. Although April is by far the prettiest
Like wise with Autumn. You can't have a spring baby called Autumn.
Scarlet is awful.
Violet is the most fitting.

user1493330753 Thu 27-Apr-17 23:27:35

My only issue with Violet is the pronunciation... I saw from the how to pronounce it thread that it's split about 50/50, some think 2 syllables and some think 3!

Awwlookatmybabyspider Thu 27-Apr-17 23:32:04

I'd say Vi-Let 2 syllables. Violet seems a bit forced for me to say.

user1493330753 Thu 27-Apr-17 23:33:28

Yeah, I would too smile

YouFlippinWhat Thu 27-Apr-17 23:34:27

Autumn

LexieLulu Thu 27-Apr-17 23:34:34

Depends where you live to how to say it. I say it 3 syllables but the "o" is a very quiet part of the name (not sure if I'm making sense)

owenjonesismyhero Thu 27-Apr-17 23:34:48

Violet, a beautiful name . When you look at her, what name comes to mind?

user1493330753 Thu 27-Apr-17 23:35:29

Honestly owen I don't know sad

Moresaltedcaramel Thu 27-Apr-17 23:41:58

I know 2 June's, both born in March. Work back 9 months... So you could go for June!
I don't like 3 of your names, which only leaves Violet and that always seems a bit old lady (violet Carson) to me. Scarlet just makes me think of goggle box.

Singingforsanity Thu 27-Apr-17 23:51:44

I disagree with not being able to name her April/Autumn if she wasn't born then, if you prefer those names use them! I prefer April or Violet. I pronounce Violet with 3 syllables, although the 2nd syllable is only just there so it isn't forced. Do any of them work better with you surname/any middle name?
