I did not know this was a name - I don't really like it for that reason.

It's a dance, not a name!

As an alternative to Kayleigh? No, it's ridiculous IMO.

Really no.

Excellent for a party. Not so much for a name.

Is it a name?

Do you mean Elidh? (Pronounced Ailie)

ICJump · 25/04/2017 23:16

I'm an Aussie and even I know it's a Scottish dance

Will a potenti subsequent sibling be called Disco? Or maybe Barn-Dance?

Paninotogo · 25/04/2017 23:18

Eilidh is lovely, Ceilidh/Kayleigh is a bit 1980s.

OublietteBravo · 25/04/2017 23:21

It's a better spelling of Kayleigh than Keighley which is definitely pronounced Keith-Lee if you come from my part of the country

Report
DramaAlpaca · 25/04/2017 23:24

My opinion is that it's not a name Hmm

Don't be daft. But you could call siblings Pipe and Drum.

Kayleigh if you like how it sounds.

I can only assume your being flooded with hormones and not thinking straight .

GeorgesDay · 25/04/2017 23:25

Oh? Blush is it not the original spelling of Kayleigh?

Please don't call your child ceilidh unless you want her to encounter Scots going Confused for the rest of her life.

Eilidh however is a gorgeous name.
