I did not know this was a name - I don't really like it for that reason.

AlwaysTheWinner · 25/04/2017 23:11

It's a dance, not a name!

Justmuddlingalong · 25/04/2017 23:13

As an alternative to Kayleigh? No, it's ridiculous IMO.

quinoabeanwah · 25/04/2017 23:13

Really no.

Spudlet · 25/04/2017 23:13

Excellent for a party. Not so much for a name.

C0untDucku1a · 25/04/2017 23:14

Is it a name?

HirplesWithHaggis · 25/04/2017 23:14

How about Rave? Or DanceParty?

Sorrry, OP, but no.

Heratnumber7 · 25/04/2017 23:16

Do you mean Elidh? (Pronounced Ailie)

ICJump · 25/04/2017 23:16

I'm an Aussie and even I know it's a Scottish dance

ToDuk · 25/04/2017 23:16

Will a potenti subsequent sibling be called Disco? Or maybe Barn-Dance?

Paninotogo · 25/04/2017 23:18

Eilidh is lovely, Ceilidh/Kayleigh is a bit 1980s.

OublietteBravo · 25/04/2017 23:21

It's a better spelling of Kayleigh than Keighley which is definitely pronounced Keith-Lee if you come from my part of the country

DramaAlpaca · 25/04/2017 23:24

My opinion is that it's not a name Hmm

Deux · 25/04/2017 23:24

Don't be daft. But you could call siblings Pipe and Drum.

Kayleigh if you like how it sounds.

I can only assume your being flooded with hormones and not thinking straight .

GeorgesDay · 25/04/2017 23:25

Oh? Blush is it not the original spelling of Kayleigh?

OP posts:
OuchLegoHurts · 25/04/2017 23:28

No it means an Irish or Scottish dance party!

Sunbeam18 · 25/04/2017 23:28

Hilarious!

foundaspottysock · 25/04/2017 23:28

I hadn't noticed this was in baby names and was going to reply to say yes great fun at weddings!

MrsJayy · 25/04/2017 23:29

No lovey it means gathering in Gaelic dont call her that . I actually like Kaleigh or Callie

GeorgesDay · 25/04/2017 23:29

Lmao, that's embarrassing. Forget this!

Opinions on Kayleigh then please :)

Deux · 25/04/2017 23:30

Opinions on Ceilidh?
Lochan · 25/04/2017 23:31

Please don't call your child ceilidh unless you want her to encounter Scots going Confused for the rest of her life.

Eilidh however is a gorgeous name.
