Hiya, our son was born on the 23rd.

Do you prefer Henri or Louis? :)

Thank you.

Louis every time!

Are you French? Just wondering otherwise why you'd choose a French Henry.

Fitzwilliam Darcy. Because I love Pride and Prejudice.

It's a really cool name. It's both classic and modern.

I love Louis! It feels really soft and sensitive but in a sturdy, masculine way. Pretty timeless too.

I like Henri too but it's very French (are you French?) Henry is a nice solid classic.

Congratulations!

I actually prefer Henri, though I wonder if might get mispronounced if you are in the U.K. though? Louis is nice too and easier to pronounce maybe. I know of a few little boys named Louis.

I would assume a Henri was a girl.

Louis much better

Henri. But Louis is also nice.

Louis much more likely to get mispronounced as Lou-EE (French) or Lou-is (uk/American/German etc),

Henri I'd always pronounce the French way.

Yes I'd be worried that some people would pronounce Henri the same way as Henry.

How are you pronouncing Henri? I really like Henry but Henri (French way with silent H) sounds a little pretentious if no links to France.

I assumed the French way (silent H, sort of like aw-n-REE I think, though my French is rusty)!

I like both!

Henri if you are French, Louis if you are English but yes some people will say Lewis.

Louis was my top name if we had a boy, but would spell it Louie instead (so people don't pronounce in Lewis) :)

I love Louis, I prefer Henry to Henri.
