What do you think to this Irish girls name?

We are a bit stuck with finding a nice name for our daughter due this summer. Like the name Aoife (pronounced EE-fa). What do you think?

Its really lovely.

Quite popular in Ireland and increasingly so in the UK, but its 'Eve' in Gaelic...so quite classic and timeless.

Not sure where you live, but just thought I'd point out that in an English accent it will be pronounced EE-fuh or EE-fer rather than EE-fa as an Irish person would say it.

I like it but just bear in mind a LOT of people will get it wrong. I have a friend called Sian and I thought that was a common enough name that most people would know how it's pronounced but she gets called See-an constantly.

Thank you for all your comments. My husband has Irish heritage so thought an Irish name might be the best option as we cannot agree on any English names...
