Anglo Italian names for boys and girls

Help please!

DH is very English and likes traditional English names. I'm half Italian but raised as quite English too. I'd like an Anglo-Italian name as me and my siblings had (e.g. Clara, Sophia, Lydia).

Any nice Italian / Italian - sounding names that work well in English too? I love Isabella for example but so common right now...

Boys names such as Rafaello or Rocco considered too 'out there' for DH...

For a boy, I think Luca is great and for a girl how about Carlotta? Or Lucia?

Or Anna?

Chiara is lovely.

Alessia also. Smile Possibly Alessandra if you want something longer?

For boys, I like Rafael. It's a bit less "fussy" than Rafaello, and more accessible because of Rafael Nadal. Matteo and Leonardo are names I think work very well in many countries.

I like really Italian-Italian names like Euphemia, Lorenzo, Silvano, Araminta.

But I guess your dh wouldn't!

What about Matteo for a boy with Matt for short - would he go for that?

I'd second Lucia for a girl. What about Bella?

I love Lucia but already taken in our family. Matteo is nice and Rafael is good spelling :)

Don't think the other names would fly and don't really like Alessandra

Boys names are difficult! I think Luca and Matteo are the only safe options. Leo is nice though too

We have a Francesca.
She would have been Gabriel if she was a boy.

Rafael would have to be Raffaele if you wanted Italian. And you'd have a lifetime of nobody being able to say it.
Sofia is lovely. For a boy I like Pietro.

Do be careful with a lot of the names suggested. They are very old fashioned. (Think the equivalent of Doris and Enoch or something!)

I was raised in central Europe (but with an Italian mother and surrounded by other Italians. We even had Italian wedding shops etc where I grew up...)

I can just list some of my cousin's names (or their children) and the Italain people I went to school with? I think they may be less old-fashioned than the names of my uncles and aunties...

Vittoria, Adelia, Tina, Mary, Alice (pronounced Alitshe...), Giuliana, Lisa, Livia, Mila, Mira, Anna, Claudia, Elisa, Ilaria, Valeria, Raffaela, Elena, Olympia, Gemma, Federica.
Antonio, Milo, Salvo, Salvatore, Toni, Francesco, Dario, Vincent, Davide, Federico, Christian, Alberto, Andrea, Claudio, Marco, Gabriele, Luca.
