How many Ezras do you know?

Hi everyone, after a bit of your wisdom please.
Dp had originally vetoed Ezra months ago as a contender for DC3 but has now taken a surprising u-turn and said he likes it. My question is- how many baby boys do you know that have this name?
I'm aware it's on the rise and will probably be much higher in this year's baby names charts (currently 127th I think) but is this more so in the south maybe? We're in the north east fwiw.
Thanks a bunch ladies. Grin
Xx

I know two young Ezra's and I'm in the North East and I'm not very sociable so that's probably not an insignificant number.

I don't know any but love the name!
Is the fact that it's unusual a good or bad thing for you and your DP?

I'm NE too and don't know any. I love the name and if we ever had another (we won't) it would be a contender.

I think it's popular as in people like it and maybe have it on their list but think it's too unusual to use? So it may become more popular as it becomes more common?

I hear it mentioned on here a lot for example, but don't know any!

I like it. Has always been on my boys list!

Thanks, really helpful!
I like names that have an unusual sound to them but aren't completely unheard of and Ezra seems to fit the bill nicely. Another factor is I'm a teacher and I've really found it difficult this time round to come up with a name that I don't associate with a child I've come across through teaching.

And would be my DC3 if DH liked the name.

Don't know of any, anywhere.

Don't know any except the Star Wars Rebels character. He's a great character though and perhaps is playing a part in the resurgence?

I think it's getting more popular but I'm not sure to what extent really. It feels like a name that lots of people love, but not so many people actually use. It usually goes like this:

I love the names Harry and Ezra, but I can't decide which one to use?

And I'm sure you can guess which one they usually end up going for.

I wanted it for DC2, if they were a boy. DH vetoed. Luckily they were a girl and point was moot.

I'm in the Midlands and don't know any Ezras big or small.

My cat is called Ezra.

That's really unhelpful - sorry!!! Until I met my cat (he's a rescue) I'd never heard of the name and have never met or even heard of another Ezra.

Personally i love the name!!

It's a nice name, but why does it matter if it is popular or not? If you both love it, then just use it.

I'm in The Midlands and only know one who was born very recently. I'm also a teacher and have never taught one.

Don't know any and heard it in as a character in one of my favourite tv shows. I really like it.

Also a teacher and I've never taught one. Totally get that issue when it comes to name choosing too!

I know a 3 year old Ezra, she's a girl though which I always thought was a bit odd Confused
