It's definitely going to be one of these, so please no "neither" as that's just unhelpful.

My first thought was Reid as I find Reed from The Fresh Beat Band pleasing to look at but I also like Grey! My cousin's son is called Greyson. Sorry, no help at all am I as I'd say either.

I like Reid better

I think 50 Shades of Grey is making me think Reid is nicer but otherwise I'd have said Grey.

I love the name Reid but every Reid I know (3 but live in the US) is spelled Reed.

Grey. I think it's a lovely name.

BounceBounceSplishSplash Sat 22-Apr-17 17:57:01

Gray. Short for Grayson. But if I'm choosing between Grey or Reid then Grey.

Floggingmolly Sat 22-Apr-17 17:58:39

They're both surnames...

apotheke Sat 22-Apr-17 18:02:48

Of the two, Reid.

But really, I mean really? Well obviously from your OP you don't want to hear opinions on the fact they are both pretty dreadful as first names. So I guess the best we can do is hope you don't use Grey.

Mumzypopz Sat 22-Apr-17 21:19:16

Would you really call a child Grey? I think it's terrible, such a boring colour too. He is so going to be picked on.

Racheyg Sat 22-Apr-17 21:31:50

I love grey. I would spell it gray

bojorojo Sat 22-Apr-17 22:22:10

Grayson, Greyson, or Reedman. My grandad was Wiiliam Reedman. Definitely not shorter versions. I can see other children bullying Fifty Shades!

Reid, it was a one of my choices 17 yrs ago and I still like it.

Sophronia Sat 22-Apr-17 22:45:42

Reid. Love it.

MrsTerryPratchett Sat 22-Apr-17 22:50:58

I feel grey.

It's a grey day.

Everything is grey.

Really? It's a nice sounding word, and Grayson or Graham shortened is fine, but Grey?

GuinessPunch Sat 22-Apr-17 22:51:24

Love grey/grayson

spacefrog35 Sat 22-Apr-17 22:56:02

Are you a massive Criminal Minds fan?

DramaAlpaca Sat 22-Apr-17 23:01:24

Haha spacefrog I was wondering that too!

Dontrocktheboat Sat 22-Apr-17 23:06:05

Reid if it has to be one of the two.
I think the fifty shades thing would be an issue with Grey.

reuset Sat 22-Apr-17 23:19:01

Grey reminds me of beige (shouldn't give people ideas there grin). Reid is slightly more preferable. Though it reminds me of an Estate Agent business name, and what if he/she is slim (reed).

Actually, no, Grey is better. They can pretend it is Ray.
