Which is nicer?

RoganJosh Sat 22-Apr-17 08:48:48

There are a lot of Isabelle's around, if that's a consideration.

lucieloos Sat 22-Apr-17 08:51:07

I'm not really bothered about popularity just which is the nicer name.

Weebleswobbles Sat 22-Apr-17 08:51:59

Isabelle/Isabel

Beautiful name

Weebleswobbles Sat 22-Apr-17 08:54:02

Arrggh that should have been Isabelle/Isobel

Beautiful name

TheLuminaries Sat 22-Apr-17 08:54:55

I prefer Arabelle grin

Thatextrainch Sat 22-Apr-17 09:13:43

MrsDrSpencerReid Sat 22-Apr-17 09:14:25

Annabelle smile

Definitely prefer Annabelle and is more unusual. Prefer spelling Annabel though.

Annabelle definitely, lovely name.

Isabelle is also nice, however it has been done to death in the past 10 years.

Justmadeperfectflapjacks Sat 22-Apr-17 10:12:29

Please consider nn for both. .
Dd little friend is Isabel and has very very curly hair.
Poor girl has been frizzy izzy for years already at 10.
Kids are nasty buggars at times.

SuperBeagle Sat 22-Apr-17 10:15:48

Annabelle, because the nickname Anna is nicer than the (inevitable) nickname Izzy.

I prefer the spelling Annabel though. It's much simpler and less fussy than Annabelle.

Rainbowqueeen Sat 22-Apr-17 10:16:09

Annabelle. I hate the nickname Izzy

We have an Annabelle. She calls herself Babelle, is also known as Belle, A-belle. Still love her name.

overwhelmedlaura Sat 22-Apr-17 10:23:25

Should have said. She's 3.5y

NavyandWhite Sat 22-Apr-17 10:27:07

I love both. Prefer the spelling of Annabel though. Arabella is beautiful too.

Wishfulmakeupping Sat 22-Apr-17 10:28:24

Annabel if spelt this way but I do love Arabella.

lucieloos Sat 22-Apr-17 10:31:04

We wouldn't use the nn izzy it would probably be belle if anything.

NavyandWhite Sat 22-Apr-17 10:33:05

I know quite a few Isabelle/a's and only one is Izzy. Belle or Bella is the usual nn.

Oysterbabe Sat 22-Apr-17 11:07:05

I much prefer Annabel. It would have been on our list but there is an Isabelle in the family and DH thought too similar.

GaladrielsRing Sat 22-Apr-17 11:15:46

Went to school with an Isabel, her nickname was 'Isabel end'

Agree kids can be cruel.

bridgetreilly Sat 22-Apr-17 13:56:41

Isabel or Annabel.

Isabelle and Annabelle both look overblown to me.

MikeUniformMike Sat 22-Apr-17 14:38:10

Arabella is lovely but long.
I like Isabelle/Isabel but know of many and dislike Izzy.
Annabel - I know one and she's lovely.
Belle? Belly.

MikeUniformMike Sat 22-Apr-17 14:39:30

Ooh forgot to add. I know one Arabella but she is always known as Ella and I was (pleasantly) surprised when I found out her full name.
