Hello, our little boy is here! He is nameless sad Caden is the only name we agree on.

ArriettyClock1 Thu 20-Apr-17 21:13:41

It's very much looked down upon on MN - lumped together with Jayden, Kayden and Kai.

Reow Thu 20-Apr-17 21:14:33

Awful imo, sorry.

MajesticWhine Thu 20-Apr-17 21:16:17

No. Don't like it. Is it really a name?

n0ne Thu 20-Apr-17 21:17:05

Sorry, don't like it at all

Nottalotta Thu 20-Apr-17 21:17:24

I think it's quite common atm. I don't dislike it though.

Williamson1985 Thu 20-Apr-17 21:19:07

Oh sad what about Ryan?

ArriettyClock1 Thu 20-Apr-17 21:19:50

Ryan is just as bad.

WallisFrizz Thu 20-Apr-17 21:21:23

I don't like it but you and your OH do and that is what matters.

I think Ryan is a lovely name.

Williamson1985 Thu 20-Apr-17 21:21:29

Ryan means 'little king' smile

AndNoneForGretchenWieners Thu 20-Apr-17 21:22:18

Ryan is nicer than Caden.

Justmuddlingalong Thu 20-Apr-17 21:22:36

Choose whichever name you and your DP like. The parents on MN got to choose their kids' names, now it's your turn. flowers Congratulations.

Dontrocktheboat Thu 20-Apr-17 21:22:48

Ryan is not my cup of tea but it is a lot better than Caden.

What about Aidan/ Aiden.

histinyhandsarefrozen Thu 20-Apr-17 21:23:16

Congratulations! I like Ryan.

KavvLar Thu 20-Apr-17 21:23:19

Congratulations on your little boy. flowers

Caden is a fairly 'of the moment' name and I suspect it will probably date badly. However if you and DH like it, go for it. I prefer Ryan but that's only my opinion.

MajesticWhine Thu 20-Apr-17 21:23:46

Ryan is a good name

OvariesForgotHerPassword Thu 20-Apr-17 21:24:24

Love love love Caden.

Wolfiefan Thu 20-Apr-17 21:25:43

I don't like Caden. I did know a lovely Cade though.

RandomDent Thu 20-Apr-17 21:25:50

Ive taught loads of Kayden, Kaidyns, Caden etc. I quite like it, and Caden is my favourite spelling. Congratulations on his arrival. smile

Williamson1985 Thu 20-Apr-17 21:27:30

Thanks smile

We definitely prefer Caden to Ryan, but do like Ryan.

Awwlookatmybabyspider Thu 20-Apr-17 21:32:52

It just conjures up to me a really badly behaved child, and a mother who'd rip anyone's head off if they dared challenge his behavior.
I hope I've not upset you or anyone, but. You did ask for opinions
Ryan's okay though, and quite unusual now

tinytoucan Thu 20-Apr-17 21:40:45

Go with what you like- it's you that will be calling the name up the stairs when he's older! I heard of a baby named Cohen recently. It's not particularly my cup of tea, but sounds similar?

tinytoucan Thu 20-Apr-17 21:41:48

Btw I quite like Ryan- maybe time for a come back! But Caden is quite cute- definitely prefer the C spelling to the K

User1635974 Thu 20-Apr-17 21:44:25

I don't like it, sorry.

What about: Charles / Carlo / Christopher / Calum as alternatives?

Yogagirl123 Thu 20-Apr-17 21:45:11

Caden is lovely, so is Ryan, choose whatever name you like, you can never please everyone. Xx
