Having a wobble...!

mum2be2boys · 14/04/2017 18:13

After lots of discussion (and several posts on here!) we've decided on the name Adam for our second little boy.

We've been calling bump Adam for the last 10 weeks or so and my first little boy (Matthew) knows him as Adam.

He's due any day now and I've suddenly had a wobble about the name!! I still like it, I just don't want to make the wrong choice! I'm hoping it's just late pregnancy hormones.

Any thoughts on the name Adam? Am I just being irrational and hormonal?!

I like Adam.

It's a nice traditional name that works well for any age :)

It's not my style but it goes perfectly with Matthew in my opinion. Traditional, classic, nothing crazy, etc.

Lovely name! It goes well with Matthew, too. Wait and see how you feel when he's born, but unless you change your mind then, I think you should go for it!

It's really lovely, and goes very well with Matthew.
Don't change your mind. 🌸

It's lovely! It's strong, looks nice written down. Rarely confused with other names, not overly popular (here anyway)
I always loved the name even before I thought about children.

I think you get a little while before you have to register the name? Don't stress too much about it for now. Concentrate on your labour. Hope all goes well for you. When you see your LO you will know, I'm sure. For what it's worth I love the name. Flowers

Yes you have 6 weeks to register the birth, and even then you can easily change the first name before the child's first birthday.

Adam is a great name, and goes very well with Matthew. Stick to your guns OP, it's the hormones talking.

I know many, many Matthews. One is my cousin & he has a brother called AdamSmile They're gorgeous men now, but I still think of them as cheeky little boys!

Both super, solid names which don't date. Personally I prefer the name Adam. My cousin occasionally gets called 'Ad' which I'm not that keen on & neither is his mum.

DH is an Adam. His nicknames are all based on his surname.

My older brothers are Matthew and Adam, they go really nice together.

I love it, I know a 5 year old Adam so there's a few around now. I wanted it if dd was a boy!

Thank you everyone, I'm glad to hear it was just the hormones (and probably late pregnancy insomnia!) getting to me! :-)
