Is it too much?

Just found out we are having a girl.
Now my mum passed away a month before we found out, (lmp was her funeral) we said if it was a girl then we definitely would have Valerie as its middle name.
I love Vivienne as a first name but not such if it's too much

Vivienne Valerie.

Other names we like are
Norah
Eleanor
I like old names (have two already)

I like it. Her nickname could be VeeVee.

BikeRunSki · 13/04/2017 06:27

I love it. Not too much at all.
Sorry for your loss. 💐

PetalMettle · 13/04/2017 06:27

I agreee with n0ne and I think that's lovely

ShineyNewName · 13/04/2017 06:28

It sounds lovely together. If you really want to break up the two V names, you could just put Eleanor between them or something. Lots of people have more than one middle name.

NameChange30 · 13/04/2017 06:29

Sorry for your loss Flowers

I prefer Norah Valerie (gorgeous!) but I think Vivienne Valerie works too. VeeVee would be a cute nickname!

What letter does your surname begin with?

neonrainbow · 13/04/2017 06:29

It is lovely but i think i might put a short name in between ie Vivienne Rose Valerie. Or any short name to break it up really.

rhodes2015 · 13/04/2017 06:31

I actually love it! I do like your other choices though, Norah is really beautiful and we are having Nelle for our little girl who is due in July which is a nickname of Eleanor.

Redyellowpinkblue · 13/04/2017 06:35

Vivienne Valerie is lovely, VeeVee is a sweet nn. People hardly use middle names very often (can't remember the last time I was asked for mine!) so I'd definitely go for it!

ChippieFishieHorshie · 13/04/2017 07:28

Vivienne Valerie is lovely. I love the name Valerie and Vivienne is a really pretty name.

Vivienne Valerie Eleanor is also lovely imo.

I'm sorry for your loss Flowers

emilybrontescorset · 13/04/2017 08:29

It sounds lovely.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 13/04/2017 08:33

Very pretty OP.
So sorry about your Mum.🌺

Jooni · 13/04/2017 09:23

Sorry to hear about your loss Flowers

I think Vivienne Valerie is fantastic! It's classic but really sweet, cool and fun, and I feel like the double V

Jooni · 13/04/2017 09:23

Oops posted too soon

... is a sweet little double nod to her in a way. Good luck!

Sophronia · 13/04/2017 16:14

It's lovely. Vivi would be a nice nn.

Reow · 13/04/2017 16:16

I love Norah

kookiecookie3 · 14/04/2017 16:40

Thanks all, thankfully hubby is onboard with it too so think we will go with it.
Thanks for suggestions on nn, I really don't like Viv, Vi not so much, and my friend also suggested veevee.
I don't want to add another middle name, as my other two only have one, and dont want my mums name pushed back. Our surname starts with a B, and is long, I think it does go altogether with the surname.

Love it!

Sorry for your loss OP Flowers. We also lost my mum just before I fell pregnant with my DD, who was born exactly one year after my mum passed away (same date). She has my mum's name as a middle name too.

It really doesn't go with her first name, unlike your choices! I'm glad we used it anyway though.

MikeUniformMike · 14/04/2017 17:49

Could you use Valerie as a first name. It's pretty.
Valerie Nell?

kookiecookie3 · 14/04/2017 17:54

So sorry for your loss Rockby xxx

I'm not sure if it's too close to losing her to call it her first name. Think it will be too hard for my dad, who we are living with now.

Just looked up the meaning, (probably should of done than earlier) and it means life, so I think it's even more fitting. 💖💖

Just regarding an extra middle name, I know you've said you don't want one, but in case you change your mind please keep Valerie as the second name as that's the one used for anything official/bank details etc - they just drop the 2nd middle name
