We don't know what sex our baby is. Our preferences are:

  • Not beginning with F M or N
  • Fairly traditional
  • Welsh would be nice, but must be easy to spell/pronounce
  • We are pretty middle class education/job wise but baby will be likely be going to local school in a fairly deprived city, so don't want anything too posh
  • DH rejects old lady names (and won't accept that Violets are more likely to be 3 than 93 these days)
  • nothing too cutesy for a girl, so avoiding y/ie endings

Any suggestions?!

Thanks Sophronia. There's a few there I hadn't considered. I'll see what DH thinks.

Charlotte nn.Lottie - I know the nn. is cutesy but think Frederick/Charlotte and Freddie/Lottie go really well...

I like Charlotte but DH has rejected it.

Weirdly all the Sians I know are sulky so I darent risk it. Any daughter of mine is predisposed to sulking.

Others might be possible.
