Boy's names... I thought they were sorted. (I was wrong. Let's hope the girl's names stay sorted...)

Jonathan
Anton
Antonin (I prefer Antonin, tbh)
Julius
Cedric
Maximilan
Gregory

Maximilian (if shortened to Max) and Gregory are my favourites. Julius would be a definite no for me. Hail Caesar and all that!

Everything she said.
Max and Greg, great.
Anton and Julius I really don't like

Not Cedric.

Max is great.
Gregory, Julius and Cedric, GOD NO.
Anton and Antonin meh, not a fan.
Jonathan is okay.

Aside from Anton they're all dreadful sorry. What the fresh hell is Antonin.
However only my opinion. Not a fact.

Natalia (btw, love the name Natalia. Wish I could use it if DC is a girl).

Hail Caesar... Hm. Now I'm wondering if that would be somehing that would upset a child or....?

Max or Greg

Oh I also quite like Cedric.

Jonathon and Anton are good.

Don't like maximilan spelling unless that is a mistake.

Antonin and Cedric are a hard no for me.

Prefer Julian and Gregor to your choice but they are okay names.

well, not completely my style, but they are all good names.
Except Antonin sounds like it has too many syllables.

Oh goodness...
Love Max.
That's it I'm afraid!

Aww

Oh, it's fine. ;)

Well, Antonin is a name (yeah, ok. I'm stating the obvious).

Idk, thanks to Antonin Scalia (I'm not a fan of him...) I kind of assumed the name was fairly well-known in the English-speaking world?

Antonin makes me think of antonym. Not a bad thing I guess.

Cedric immediately makes me think of Harry Potter and Cedric Diggory. A child might like to have the same name as a book character though

Max, Gregory or Jonathan, in that order. I really wouldn't use Julius, Caesar jokes will get old quickly. Anton makes me think of strictly, but maybe that's just my problem.

WellErrr · 07/04/2017 16:27

Antonin sounds like a hormone or an enzyme or something.

Shoot, yes, Maximilian. Not that there's anything wrong with Maximilan. I mean, I have a cousin called Milan and a cousin called Max, it sounds like a mash-up, I suppose. But I personally am not a fan of it...

I love Gregory. Don't really like any of the others, but would pick Cedric if I had to. Please, not another Max!

Montsti · 07/04/2017 16:33

I love Maximilian nn.Max and next Jonathan..

Not keen on any of the others...

My friend's husband is Julius. he goes by Julie for short. No-one every comments. It is just a name. (he is not originally British, hence unusual nn)

on second thoughts don't use Cedric. very, very wimpy upper class sounding.

We actually ofetn holiday near a town called St Antonin, and so I am familiar with it, but it doesn't really work as an English name.

Yes, there are quite a few places called Antonin (or containing it in their name). It doesn't work as an English name? Shoot. -.-

Julius - likely to be forever correcting people that it's not Julian
Antonin - will possibly just be shortened to Anton anyway, or will be forever correcting people that it's not Antony.
Gregory - fine
Maximilian - you could go all du Maurier and use nn Maxim
Cedric - no. Reminds me of the pink thing from the Raccoons cartoon, which Wikipedia just now informs me is meant to be an aardvark...I digress. Ced might be a cool nn though.

He was the first Italian-American Justice on the Supreme Court. Never been a fan but my grandmother was very proud...

ShuttyTown Hm... Any suggestions? No need to be sorry :)
