clairethewitch70 Fri 07-Apr-17 15:11:45

Reminds me of bacon, beer can

bialystockandbloom Fri 07-Apr-17 15:11:46

Any reason why?
Because it's not a name and it sounds awful?

Wishiwasmoiradingle2017 Fri 07-Apr-17 15:11:59

For a dog - a vegan beagle!!

rainbowstardrops Fri 07-Apr-17 15:13:22

Why? Because it sounds like a cross between beagle and vegan.
Is it for a boy or a girl not that that would make a difference

HappyAxolotl Fri 07-Apr-17 15:13:28

Nah, not a fan. It sounds like beagle as in the dog and Beadle as in Jeremy!

WillowTreeBranch Fri 07-Apr-17 15:13:31

It is a name... It's Gaelic hmm

user1483387154 Fri 07-Apr-17 15:14:11

I agree with PP's it sounds like a dog. Beagle.

rainbowstardrops Fri 07-Apr-17 15:14:30

Ha! Great minds think alike Wish!

TinfoilHattie Fri 07-Apr-17 15:14:38

It's awful, sorry.

TheBookIsOnTheTable Fri 07-Apr-17 15:14:50

It just sounds weird (in a bad way) to me, sorry.

MitzyLeFrouf Fri 07-Apr-17 15:15:23

If it is an Irish name I'd guess it's a surname. It would mean small one.

It just looks a bit comedic for some reason.

floatingfrog Fri 07-Apr-17 15:15:31

Nope

goodpiemissedthechips Fri 07-Apr-17 15:16:40

Vegan x beagle or Bega (town in Australia).

Is a person from Bega a Beagan?

I'm pretty sure people would hear "Vegan" as in "Hi, I'm vegan" and be thinking 'Erm that's nice, me too, but what's your actual name?'

Also too close to 'bogan' which is a type of Australian chav (sorry to sound judgemental there, not sure how else to explain).

Sorry OP.

WillowTreeBranch Fri 07-Apr-17 15:17:22

Okay... Thanks for the opinions.

I don't mind opinions, but using this cross out feature to tell me it isn't a name is unnecessary and that I've made it up is unnecessary.

Ontopofthesunset Fri 07-Apr-17 15:17:29

How is it pronounced? Is it like Reagan with a B (Bagan)? Or like Keegan (Beegan)? Or is it a Gaelic pronunciation so it's something like Bayvan (disclaimer - don't speak any Gaelic or Irish)? It's not familiar so looks odd.
