Which of these names do you like best?

anon050 Sun 02-Apr-17 12:49:21

Sabrina. It's on my list with Serena and Sophie/ Sophia for S names.

I love both but Soraya is one of my favourite names ever.

I prefer Sabine to Sabrina.

Never heard of Soraya, I'd pronounce it like Sore Ayer, is that right?

Sugarpiehoneyeye Sun 02-Apr-17 13:02:59

Sabrina (Bri).

Really I didn't think it was that unusual. It is pronounced Sur-raya.

Both lovely, I also like Seren, Soren and Samara

ClaryBeanHorshAndMe Sun 02-Apr-17 13:30:10

I think both are perfectly fine.

But I also prefer Sabine to Sabrina (and also to Soraya).

Do you like Saskia?

Gunpowder Sun 02-Apr-17 13:33:26

Definitely Sabrina

flummoxedworried Sun 02-Apr-17 13:33:48

I had never heard of Soraya either. I prefer Sabrina of the two.

Soraya

There's a famous ice skater called Suraya Bonaly, the only skater male or female to land a backflip on one foot, she's badass

Jooni Sun 02-Apr-17 15:56:35

I prefer Soraya, but yes to Sabine/Sabina!

Sophronia Sun 02-Apr-17 16:04:33

Sabrina. Soraya makes me think of psoriasis.

crapfatbanana Sun 02-Apr-17 16:14:28

Sabrina. I like Sarita too.

Sunshineandlaughter Sun 02-Apr-17 16:14:44

Sabrina - never heard the other one

LokisSister Sun 02-Apr-17 17:11:44

My best friend at primary school was called Soriya, we called her Ria. Lovely name, never met another one.

Cellardoor23 Sun 02-Apr-17 18:14:01

My name is one of the ones from your list. I have never met another one. I really like the name Serena as well.

MrsMeeseeks Sun 02-Apr-17 19:14:09

They are both beautiful.

NellWilsonsWhiteHair Sun 02-Apr-17 19:15:34

Soraya

Soraya is a Muslim name, to me. I know a few and they're all Muslim. It's a lovely name. Sabrina is nice too, but I do think "teenage witch".

JDelanysCleanHorse Sun 02-Apr-17 20:15:22

Love both names.

How about Sorsha? (Not sure of the spelling thoughblush)

THirdEeye Sun 02-Apr-17 20:34:12

Sabrina is nice but Soraya definitely far nicer. The meaning of it is beautiful, as it's name based upon the brightest stars in the sky (the seven sisters).

I know of some girls named this and they spelled their name a little differently

Sureya/suraya.

MaidenMotherCrone Sun 02-Apr-17 20:44:57

I know a Soraya, she's Iranian, it's pronounced Sor-eye-a. It's a beautiful name.

Singingforsanity Sun 02-Apr-17 22:08:50

I prefer Sabrina, partly due to the psoriasis thing, but I just think it sounds nice, happy and bright. I love Serena too. How about Sumeya?

AliceKlar Sun 02-Apr-17 22:29:24

All the Soraya's I've come across in school so far are Muslim, Jewish or Iranian. It's a gorgeous name imo.
