Hi guys
I'd like some opinions on the name Cadby for a little boy.
I have an Alfie and Bobby already and wanted something that would flow with the 2 names but something a little more unusual.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like a nn for Cadbury grin
It's a no from me. .

I'm afraid I just see/hear Cadbury confused

Sirzy Wed 29-Mar-17 20:58:13

Jungfraujoch Wed 29-Mar-17 20:58:14

Makes me think of Cadbury - sorry!

Dragongirl10 Wed 29-Mar-17 20:58:25

NashvilleQueen Wed 29-Mar-17 20:58:33

I'm sorry OP but to me it sounds like a toddler trying to say Cadbury. Is it a real name??

shirleycartersaidso Wed 29-Mar-17 20:58:55

Looks and sounds like a misspelling of Cadbury.

Beryl19 Wed 29-Mar-17 20:59:24

Thanks for your honesty, this is what I'm looking for really. I've gone through so many names in my head, I'm not sure what sounds normal or a bit weird anymore 😂

NashvilleQueen Wed 29-Mar-17 21:00:47

Are you set on a C name for the ABC theme?

Beryl19 Wed 29-Mar-17 21:04:33

I'm not sure wether it is actually a real name, apparently it is, i know it's a surname as it was my partners grandads surname and hes recently passed away. So i think he likes it more for that reason.
No it doesn't have to be a c name really. Xx

sticklebrix Wed 29-Mar-17 21:06:17

I also see chocolate. Would Cody work?

AmyC86 Wed 29-Mar-17 21:07:07

What about Cody?

smashyourglasses Wed 29-Mar-17 21:09:35

Did you make it up?

YogaAndRum Wed 29-Mar-17 21:12:02

What about Gatsby?

Garnethair Wed 29-Mar-17 21:13:22

It sounds a bit Flaky

thebakerwithboobs Wed 29-Mar-17 21:14:14

The family connection is sweet but it should be demoted to middle name. I feel your pain OP-all our sons have two middle names so by the time we were naming number six, the name Six was genuinely on the list for far longer than it should have been!

WanderingTrolley1 Wed 29-Mar-17 21:14:27

Absolutely not, not even under duress.

SuperBeagle Wed 29-Mar-17 21:14:45

Cadbury, definitely. Which wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't fucked with their chocolate to the point it now tastes like ass. grin

Do you like Camden? Cody could work too.

Beryl19 Wed 29-Mar-17 21:21:57

My partner actually loves gatsby but our surname begins with g.
We have a family friend with a dog called Cody so that's a no too.

MangoSplit Wed 29-Mar-17 21:24:31

Those aren't reasons that should stop you!

Beryl19 Wed 29-Mar-17 21:27:22

I think if I genuinely loved the name then nothing would stop me but I onky like them not completely love them xx

ErrolTheDragon Wed 29-Mar-17 21:29:42

Cary? (As in Cary Grant).

Sugarpiehoneyeye Wed 29-Mar-17 21:29:50

Gatsby is cool !
How about ;
Alfie, Bobby and Cole
Alfie, Bobby and Jett
Alfie, Bobby and koby

ILoveDolly Wed 29-Mar-17 21:37:13

Why not have Cadby as a middle name?
