Boys middle name

Help me brainstorm?

Criteria (none of which are non-negotiable):
- unisex
- unremarkable
- "English" by which I mean commonly used in England (first name and surname will not be, would like middle name to reflect dual heritage)
- doesn't begin with S (too many names in our family do)
- doesn't begin with a vowel (too much scope for iffy initials with other chosen names)
- not two syllables (too much like iambic pentameter!)
- doesn't have "sh" sound in it

Really like Oliver but it's ruled out because of the initials.

John sounds too, dunno, abrupt?. Can't quite put my finger on it but doesn't sound right with exotic forrin first and surnames.

Shortlist so far is:
- James
- Keir
- Jonathan

Anything else spring to mind?

I don't mean unisex. I meant not unisex. Whatever the opposite of unisex is. Gendered?

Some of these are great. Some are less great but I can't quite put my finger on why.

William? Classic, historical boys name in England. Used extensively amongst all social classes since 1066.

George, William and Benjamin all going on the shortlist. Thanks!

Not so keen on the surnamey names, nor the ones that are more usually short for something else.
