Mine are anything flowery for a girl e.g. Posey, Poppy, Lily etc as well as the old woman names such as Mable and Dorothy
For boys I hate the Aidan, Hayden, Caden thing at the moment and overly posh sounding names such as Finius and Montague.

Obviously this is only personal preference which we all have and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. No hateful comments are welcome

Some names make me think 'really?' for a second but then I forget more or less straight away and just associate them with that person.

Both my kids names are always on the first page of these 😂 sometimes mine is too I'm clearly not a standard mumsnetter!

Well I have one daughter with a flower name and the other daughter with an 'old lady name', so I would imagine my least favourite names are your favourite.

mummytobemaybe · 23/03/2017 13:15

LoveMyLittleSuperhero, what are your children's names?

Rebecca, Helen and Deborah. I don't know why, I just remember hearing them for the first time as a child and thinking what awful words they were!

Don't want to say as along with other stuff I've posted they could be incredibly outing but one has a hyphenated name obviously a mumsnet no-go the other has a unisex name which is also a semi common last name with a flowery name for her middle name! I hit the jackpot 😂

JennyOnAPlate · 23/03/2017 13:52

Anything hyphenated and anything made-up American (I know way too many madisons!)

Again? Come off it! Such a coast thread.

If you're genuinely curious about this oh so fascinating subject then check back on the names board a few weeks for 'Names that make your toes curl'. You will find an entire thread, complete with many offended people, for your reading pleasure.

Yawn.

Coast = goady.

As if this thread wasn't annoying enough now autocorrect has got me going.

What about all time least favourite usernames? Mine are all the Ines with the word "mummy" in. Cringe. These threads are just spiteful.

I hate anything that isn't spelt properly, adding extra letters, removing letters, changing the spelling to make it different.
I absolutely hate the name mckenzie or kenzie. (sorry anyone with a child with that name, only my opinion)
My daughters name is very uncommon and we get a lot of shocked faces when we tell people. It is quite popular in USA and Australia though I believe. I love hearing names that make me think, oh wow, how unusual and pretty rather than, oh another (add name here).

And I think I will twitch forever more at the name Donald.

Why do you need to know about least favourite names? It just seems nasty to me, they exist out there as names because someone else really likes them. I thought this board was to give you ideas of what to call your baby, not to talk about what you don't like.

You say no hateful comments but as your op is basically asking what names people hate, I don't really see the logic in this?
