So we've finally narrowed our baby's name down to two, but can't decide the order... we need help!

Which do you prefer - Isaac Jago or Jago Isaac?

Thanks in advance Smile

I like both names, marginally prefer Isaac - but perhaps Jago Isaac flows better?

Jago is a fantastic name! Isaac is lovely too but much less striking/distinctive. I like Jago Isaac.

I only know one Jago and he is super posh, which I think is what slightly puts me off using it first. There must be plenty of normal Jagos out there though... thanks everyone!

Isaac Jago.
I've never heard Jago before. Is it like Hugo?

Is it Jay-go or Jar-go? Hard J or soft J?

Actually, I prefer Isaac either way. Great name!

It's pronounced jay-go. It's Cornish I think?

Yes, it is Cornish.

Yes, to me Jago is super-posh

It also reminds me of sago pudding (that dates me!)

Much prefer Isaac

If you want something more obscure, then Jago Isaac.

Yes, Jago is the Cornish form of James. It's also a well known surname in Cornwall. I find it v amusing that people see it as posh! I love it as a first name, that would definitely be my choice.

I love Jago! If I was to have another (male) baby that would be my choice, but since that's medically impossible I'll have to have a cat ( although, similarly medically impossible, I fear!!)

Cake

I think because it's been adopted by the upper-middle classes who have a little holiday cottage in Cornwall. Maybe

I love (love!) Jago and wanted it for one of my boys. But DH laughed me out of town and general opinion here (I'm in Oz) was that he would get teased and called Dago. He exercised his power of veto.

Coveryourears - your DH is hilarious, sounds like mine! He would never agree to Jago.

I know a Jago - and posh he ain't!

Although I prefer the name Isaac, I think Jago Isaac flows better.

Is he likely to be your last DS? They are both great names and I would keep the one you don't use this time for a future DS, if there was the slightest chance that he would have a little DBro.
