May as middle name or all one name?

CharlieChat Fri 17-Mar-17 16:36:26

May as middle name

CharlieChat Fri 17-Mar-17 16:36:49

I completely changed my username grin May as middle name

Wolfiefan Fri 17-Mar-17 16:37:19

I rather like it. How does it go with your surname? Flows quite well.

DramaAlpaca Fri 17-Mar-17 16:37:49

Much too cutesy for my taste. Sorry.

Wilma55 Fri 17-Mar-17 16:40:20

Better than Theresa May !!

Pencilvester Fri 17-Mar-17 16:44:03

Poppy may not.

Fraggleface Fri 17-Mar-17 16:52:08

Not a fan, sorry

NuffSaidSam Fri 17-Mar-17 16:56:19

It's fine, it's just so 'meh'.

She'll be one of many, many Poppy May's.

LosingDory Fri 17-Mar-17 16:57:18

It's very generic...lots of them around

Taylor22 Fri 17-Mar-17 16:57:30

Fine. But very very common.

Sophronia Fri 17-Mar-17 17:00:05

Not a fan, too cutesy and very common.

1horatio Fri 17-Mar-17 17:02:52

It's very "inoffensive", I guess.

What about Poppy Dorothea..."Smith"

Poppy Millicent? Poppy Margaret? Poppy Clementine? Poppy Juliet? Poppy Melissa?

Or maybe Penelope May? Peggy May?

I like May and I like Poppy. I'm not a fan of combining them, sorry. I feel like it's very unimaginative and quite boring...

Gallavich Fri 17-Mar-17 17:04:51

Both names are really common, even together. If you insist on May as a middle name then go for something more distinctive as first name. Or Poppy something else.

Millipedewithherfeetup Fri 17-Mar-17 17:07:12

Sweet name !

Frazzled2207 Fri 17-Mar-17 17:14:28

Like Poppy, May is just too generic as a middle name IMO, similarly Grace, Rose.
Poppy Elizabeth
Poppy Catherine
Poppy Jane etc all ok.

BaymaxismyHero Fri 17-Mar-17 17:26:36

It's cute but not sure I'd want to be a 30 year old Poppy May.

CPtart Fri 17-Mar-17 17:33:02

Awful. No substance to it at all. A real 'follower of trends' name and not suited to anyone over the age of 3 harsh

Misspilly88 Fri 17-Mar-17 17:41:52

I know several poppy mays. If that helps.

Sugarpiehoneyeye Fri 17-Mar-17 17:50:47

Poppy is a lovely name, and so is May, as a first name.
Unless May has a meaning, eg Grandma's name, I'd choose something different.
Poppy Charlotte
Poppy Caroline
Poppy Joanna

SusanTrinder Fri 17-Mar-17 18:02:45

It's a bit...twee.

Whileweareonthesubject Fri 17-Mar-17 18:47:49

I think it's pretty. But then I tend to find a lot of current name choices awfully 'ugly' and/or pretentious. Partly, because many of them are names that were common amongst my parents and grandparents generation, so for me, they are old fashioned and conjure up images of elderly people rather than babies.

sonlypuppyfat Fri 17-Mar-17 18:49:24

There's loads of them about

HaPPy8 Fri 17-Mar-17 18:54:19

I think its pretty
