Girls name - stuck!

So baby no 3 has no name yet... she has two big brothers with traditional names. I like our shortlist as they all have grown up versions as well as the cute 'ie' names.

Shortlist is:

Katie
Gracie
Georgie
Rosie

Would Georgie sound like we have 3rd boy? Is Rosie too girly? Will Katie just remind me of Katie Hopkins/Price? Is Grace on its own too harsh sounding?

Help!

How about Katharine, Georgina or Rose?

Satsumadreams99 Tue 14-Mar-17 15:08:10

So the full names would be

Kate
Grace
Georgia
Rose

I just can't decide between them!

Grace Rose is nice

GeekGoddess Tue 14-Mar-17 15:10:42

I love Rose smile, with Grace a close second. They are all nice op, although Georgia is my least favourite.

Congratulations!

All nice but I'd go Georgina for full name of Georgie.

TeenAndTween Tue 14-Mar-17 15:12:19

I would give the longer 'full' version as suggested above Katherine, Georgina / Georgiana, Rosemary, etc (unless you really don't like it) and then you can use either shortening.

Pallisers Tue 14-Mar-17 15:14:23

They are all lovely - like your long versions too. I am not a fan of shortened names as the full name but I think Kate has actually jumped the barrier into a name of its own. Although I would use Georgiana instead of Georgia but that would be because it would be a chance to give a nod to Jane Austen

I'd probably chose Rose myself but all 4 are lovely.

TeenAndTween Tue 14-Mar-17 15:17:01

If your boys are William and Henry, then don't choose Kate!

NavyandWhite Tue 14-Mar-17 15:17:05

I'm not keen on ie ending names.

I like Georgina and Georgette. Rose is pretty too. I like Kate also.

BasicBetty Tue 14-Mar-17 15:59:12

Grace/Gracie or
Rose/Rosie

I like them all, but those are the best IMO

BaymaxismyHero Tue 14-Mar-17 16:27:12

Rose wins my vote

Satsumadreams99 Tue 14-Mar-17 16:39:03

Thanks all - I do think Rose/Rosie is one of my favourites but, and this may be irrelevant but dd has dark hair and olive skin so would Rosie perhaps not suit???

ChippieBeanAndHorro Tue 14-Mar-17 16:43:32

I really like Georgia and Rose. smile

I don't think Grace would be a nice middle name for a girl called Rose (or vice versa, tbh)

ChippieBeanAndHorro Tue 14-Mar-17 16:44:36

Dark hair and olive skin... Why wouldn't it suit her?

I'm not sure I understand the concern, tbh. Rose is a lovely name and I don't think somebody needs to look a certain way to suit it.

Satsumadreams99 Tue 14-Mar-17 16:46:10

I guess I envisioned a Rosie to have fair hair and rosy cheeks!

RoseAndRose Tue 14-Mar-17 16:48:10

You could try the South American version, Rosita.

Blossomdeary Tue 14-Mar-17 16:48:46

Grace and Rosie - definitely nothing that sounds as if you had expected a boy.

Pancaker Tue 14-Mar-17 16:49:53

Francesca - Frankie?

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion Tue 14-Mar-17 16:51:16

I love the name Rose.

She can still be a Rosie with a dark complexion smile

ChippieBeanAndHorro Tue 14-Mar-17 16:55:03

I think Rose is a gorgeous name that would suit everybody smile

But you could go for Rosa, Rosina or Rosalia, I guess?

I personally like Rose and Rosalia.

Sophronia Tue 14-Mar-17 17:35:55

Rose

Sugarpiehoneyeye Tue 14-Mar-17 18:02:04

Rose/Rosie

Susiethetortoiseshellcat Tue 14-Mar-17 18:18:42

I love both Rose and Rosie. Don't think it matters about complexion.

Sofiatheworst Tue 14-Mar-17 18:49:54

I think Georgia is one of the most beautiful names there is. Feminine but strong. I like Kate too, the other too are a bit too little girlie for my liking (even the longer versions) smile
