Have asked about a couple of these before and currently have the below shortlist of 4 (which may change)
Big brother is Johnny

Todd (was pretty much slated on here a few weeks ago but I still like it)
Howard (Howie)

Not a big fan of any of them tbh.

Patrick - fine.
Hugo - a bit posh, but fine.
Todd - I don't hate it.
Howard - It's kind of so awful it's nice. I think a little Howie could be really cute, but he'd have to be quite a cool teen to pull it off. How likely is you child to be cool? I don't think any of my DC could pull it off!

Has to be Patrick for me. Johnny and Paddy sound like a pair of brothers to me.

Rockaby Mon 13-Mar-17 20:39:21

Patrick or Hugo!

I think Hugo is the nicest and fits with Johnny. I dont like Todd or Patrick. I like Howard but Howie makes me cringe.

Sandsnake Mon 13-Mar-17 20:44:59

Patrick or Hugo (both really nice) by a country mile. Todd comes in a distant third (ok but a bit American country for me). Howard is last by a long, long way, really not keen on that at all.

My cat's called Todd, it seems weird to name a baby Todd to me. Patrick is the best out of the lot imo.

Sugarpiehoneyeye Mon 13-Mar-17 21:40:56

Johnny and Paddy.

Sophronia Mon 13-Mar-17 22:41:38

Patrick goes best with Johnny

ChippieBeanAndHorro Mon 13-Mar-17 22:56:03

Patrick: it's ok
Hugo: Lovely!
Todd: Sounds too much like Tod imo. Which means death in German.
Howard (Howie): I thought that was a surname. It's ok, I guess.

John and Howard (Johnnie and Howie)!

FatOldBag Tue 14-Mar-17 08:13:43

Patrick is by far my favourite from the list, a lovely name.

SuperBeagle Tue 14-Mar-17 08:36:16

Johnny and Howard is just way too John Howard (former PM of Australia, known for his wild eyebrows) for me.

I like Patrick with Johnny the best.

Gummibears Tue 14-Mar-17 08:52:19

I've never heard of John Howard and doubt the next generation will know or care about him

HarleyQuinzel Tue 14-Mar-17 09:00:10

I really like Patrick, the others not so much..

Todd really is awful, sorry OP grin

Maybe not in the UK, but they will where I'm from. That's my association. Nothing wrong with me pointing it out.

I think Johnny & Hugo work very well together.

I need your help please. I don't love any of these really and can't find any others I love.
I quite like Aaron, DH doesn't. He likes Eddie, I'm not sure
I like normal names which aren't popular
Please suggest some!
Of course we might have a girl in which case she'll probably be Claudia. Love Claude but it just seems ridiculous for a boy!

Michael, Matthew, John, Richard, Robert? These are classics that aren't top of the trend right now.

If you're really stuck, as /r/namenerds too because they'll toss you a big long list

*ask not as!

Also... Albert, Kyle, Mark, Luke, Anthony?

CaipirinhasAllRound Sat 18-Mar-17 19:09:05

They're too boring, sorry!

CaipirinhasAllRound Sat 18-Mar-17 19:10:25

Would Eddie be short for something? Sorry if this has already been suggested, but I really love Edmund. I think it's elegant and not well used but definitely 'normal'. Eddie on its own is a bit silly in my personal opinion. It's fine as a nn though and I even know one (who's gorgeous). His is short for Edward, which is also nice.

I like Aaron too.
