I'm really struggling... She's 2 weeks old 😢

Bluntness100 Sat 11-Mar-17 14:08:04

I quite like Annabelle or annabella . I think it's a pretty name. I also like Laura, Rose and Emily.

MadameJosephine Sat 11-Mar-17 14:08:35

Elizabeth (Libby as nickname). Gorgeous but vetoed by DD's dad do she has my second favourite which is Jennifer (Jenny)

I also love Madeline (Maddy) and Emmeline.

Congratulations flowers

I like Annabelle, but I think there might be issues with the spelling? 🤔 Annabella seems really long! Still pretty, but probably too long for us. I know a 'Laura Rose Emily (surname)' 😂 Laura is a nice name, but know lots in their 30s. Rose is nice - I like Rosie and Roseanna. Elizabeth is a great name, but I'm unsure on names that have lots of NNs and I know a really horrible Libby 😢😢😢 but it's still a fab name!

I don't think I'm ever going to find a name for her. I seem to like most names 😂 just can't find 'the one'!

Oh I change my mind every week almost about what I'd call a girl. If I was blessed with another girl. I'd have to have her registered there and then.
I think I'd choose Lydia at the moment. Last week it was Erin. My dd is Molly. She was almost Nicole, but. It would have given her very unfortunate initials. grin
I also have an angel baby named Mia
Some name suggestions.

I can't believe I missed off a few! Jennifer is great (Jenny) I always think of a 'perfect' young woman 😂 I do like Madeline but probably prefer Madeleine so it can be pronounced 'lynn' and really like Maddie but my cousin is Maddie (Maddison) and we see each other a lot 😢 Emmeline is also nice, but I'm Gemma, so feel like the beginning is too similar?

lloydlf76 Sat 11-Mar-17 14:21:25

Hermione is my favourite girls name ever. Luckily I have one :-) Always gets a great reception too.

Sistafromanuthamista Sat 11-Mar-17 14:33:12

Favourite ever is Aurelia closely followed by Antonia but I can't use either names.

If I had another dd tomorrow the shortlist would be Astrid, Ursula or Jessica.

Lydia is cool, but I always thought it was an Asian name (I know 3 Asian Lydias!) I know it isn't and I also know there is nothing wrong with Asian names, but you know when it feels like you shouldn't use it? I know that's really weird. It's the same with Hamish! Although neither are!! Really like Erin, but to be it reminds me of 'errand' which is just ridiculous 😂 I know! Molly is also a name I really like and I like the spelling Mollie too, but does she ever get the NN mols? I feel like my family would definitely shorten to that (they all shorted Maddie to Mads!) Mia is a really lovely name.
Rosa - I do like this but probably prefer Rosie or Roseanna.
Olivia - lovely name just very popular!
Chloe - used to be my favourite name but know lots of older teens called this so feels a bit dated.
Katie - love it! DH will only use it if we go for Katherine which I'm not so keen on and my mum says it's not very nice 😢
Hannah - same as Chloe, I know so many older teens called this!
Laila - love this spelt Layla but worry about people spelling it wrong as so many spelling choices!
Louisa - I like this a lot, but sil is Louise!
Liza (Lie-za) - never actually heard of this, but will NN be Lie?
Sophia - same as Olivia, very pretty but probably going to be lots in her class?
Amity - never heard of this either! Sounds like a Goddess!
Bryony - I know an absolutely horrible Briony!
Esme - lovely but will people pronounce it Ez-me?
Poppy - niece is a Poppy!
Heidi - the girl who got me excluded.
Ellie - I'm starting to think I don't like girl e names? Love boy E names though!
Willow - so pretty but don't feel brace enough, I'm the same with Autumn!
Darcie - love!! But close friend's baby girl is Darcey.
Monica - cleaner at work and know her well.
Stephanie - quite like but surname is an S 😢 that's why Scarlet/Scarlett is rules out.
Elise - cute name but not quite the one!
Iraina - not sure how to pronounce this 😩
Sarah - know lots that are my mums age.
Dorothy - strangely, I'm a huge fan on Dorothy and love Dottie, etc. DH hates it.
Joanna - nice but not sure on Jo.
Keira - really like Ciara but worry people will spell wrong. Same with Kiera/Keira.
Teresa - my mum's name grin
Lilia - nice name but again, will NN be Lie?

I know no one asked for me to review their names but it's helping my head name my little one! grin thanks for the inspiration!!
