All nice, but I'd go with Polly Clementine.

Heratnumber7 · 22/02/2017 12:52

Is Effie an actual name? Sounds a bit Hunger Games-ish!

I like the others though.

Norfolkbumpkin · 22/02/2017 13:03

Polly Clementine, sounds beautiful.

Badhairday1001 · 22/02/2017 13:04

I know an Effie, she is lovely. I would go for that.

IAmALionTamer · 22/02/2017 13:05

I think Clementine is the nicest of the 3. It's also less "cutesy" and will transition better imo from child to women iykwim

OliviaStabler · 22/02/2017 13:05

Clementine Alice.

I prefer Effie but would worry about he Hunger Games association.

MiaMoo95 · 22/02/2017 13:08

When I hear Effie I think of the girl from Skins, not hunger games. I'm sure kids your daughters age won't know either and it's a really beautiful name. So what if there's someone in a book who has the name?, it goes well with Iris. I'd go for it :)

PatMustardsBigTool · 22/02/2017 13:09

All lovely names, my favourite is Effie, but that's probably because of a wonderful old neighbour we had when I was a child - she was the best! Alice also a winner, would you consider if for first name rather than middle?

PatMustardsBigTool · 22/02/2017 13:11

Ah, just re-read you already have an Iris, so maybe Alice/Iris a bit matchy Grin

justpeachy74 · 22/02/2017 13:12

I considered Effie for our dd2 but DH didn't like it. They're all nice names imo.,

KoalaDownUnder · 22/02/2017 13:13

Clementine. By a mile.

HeadlessGummyBears · 22/02/2017 13:21

All are fab names but if I had to choose then I'd go for Clementine Alice Smile

murphys · 22/02/2017 13:30

Effie? I have never heard that as a name.

I am not in the UK, but when we were younger, that is what we called a condom. So absolutely no from me.

(Ds, who is 18 therefore knows everything has just instructed me as to why this is so..... it was an FL which was a French letter, but then we seemed to have decided it was FE which is French envelope. I probably should have known that. They were sent in the via horse carriage or possibly the mail before said visit from the man..)

I prefer Alice out of all of the names personally OP. I do think that some names are more popular in some countries than others though. Is Clementine and Polly becoming more popular now, or are they family names?

You did ask for opinions so just giving mine. Good luck with your new baby OP.

Jooni · 22/02/2017 14:03

All nice, but I vote Polly Clementine.

JanuaryJuniper · 22/02/2017 14:41

Polly Clementine!! I had that on my list from my dd in fact I had a name thread on here a few years ago about Polly Clementine Wink

Sophronia · 22/02/2017 18:52

Clementine Alice

AlwaysTheWinner · 22/02/2017 18:54

Polly Clementine
Lovely and goes best with your other DD's name IMO. You have great taste!

Littleballerina · 22/02/2017 18:59

Polly is beautiful.
Clementine will be shortened to clemmy.
Effie is a bit of a non name. Maybe Esme?

sopsmum · 22/02/2017 19:00

Polly clementine but like the others too. X

ohidoliketobe · 22/02/2017 19:04

I like all 3.

I know an Effie and she's fab. Such a lovely name. She is forever getting asked 'what's it short for?' so be aware of that. That said, I have an usual name both first and last, and have to spell them out and it doesn't really bother me.

SuperBeagle · 22/02/2017 19:40

Polly Clementine is the nicest.

I don't like Clementine (can bear it as a middle name) or Effie.

Serenity05 · 22/02/2017 21:03

Clementine Alice. Effie sounds like a nickname and while Polly is lovely, Iris and Clementine sound fab together.

Effie sounds too much like a nick name, it fact it usually is. Traditionally for Euphemia. Skins Effie is Elizabeth, apparently.

Clementine - is ok

Polly is ok, and 'goes' with Iris, in terms of style, if you care about such things

Gummibears · 22/02/2017 21:40

Clementine Alice

Although Polly goes a little better with Iris

user1487175389 · 22/02/2017 21:56

Effie sounds like you're trying not to swear.
