Short and sweet classic girls names

My second baby is due in May. We're not sure if it's a girl or boy but already have a boy's name picked.

Names we like (and agree on!) but aren't set on yet are:

May (too little girly?)
Maive (Ithink its beautiful but it rhymes with my husband's name, Dave; plus not so keen on the mythology behind it)
Esther (Love this!)

.....and then we get stuck!

Can anyone suggest some classic, short and sweet girl's names that we might like. I like older names and 'proper' names if that makes sense. Something that would do well for her into adulthood. But that is classicly beautiful - and not done to death!

I think I might be very fussy!!

Big sister is Beth.

Oooh thanks for the quick replies!!

I LOVE Emma, but my name is Gemma! So that's out!
Also can't have Alice.

I did have Sarah on my list originally but I keep changing my mind about it! I grew up with so many Sarahs so keep wondering if it's boring, but I don't think it's so popular today. Not sure if I love it enough. Plus it bugs me that you can't shorten it, even though i know it doesn't need shortening!

Rose is pretty but there are soooo many of them!

Not such a fan of Lily. A student came to my work and she was called Lily. It is a very pretty name but just seemed so odd on a twenty year old!!! I know that's silly because my the time my daughter gets to 2 she'll be surrounded by Lilys, Daisys, Willows etc etc!

Here's a list that I just found on my phone, of names that I originally loved but have been vetoed by DH..... (some of them don't technically fit into the 'short' category I've realised!)

Caroline
Hazel
Leah
Mabel
Cora
Dinah
Maeve
May
Miriam
Audrey
Norah
Sarah
Sylvie
Tessa
Niamh
Esther
