Hi. Do you prefer Emile or Thibault? I prefer Thibault (I like Bo as a nickname). My husband prefers Emile. However, we both love both. Thank you.

Are you French by any chance? Grin Both fairly popular names

I prefer Emile

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 14/02/2017 08:50

Not a lover of Emile, I prefer Thibault, sounds more masculine.

crapfatbanana · 14/02/2017 10:25

Thibault I think.

Or just Beau?

RoughBeast · 14/02/2017 10:30

Thibault.

twiglet2 · 14/02/2017 14:43

Love Thibault - my husband is mad about the tour de France and there is a cyclist called Thibault Pinot and he always says what a great name it is :)

Sophronia · 14/02/2017 17:04

Thibault

reuset · 14/02/2017 18:52

Thibault is probably more current choice for a youngster, if that helps Grin But I expect you know that.

reuset · 14/02/2017 18:53

Than Emile, I meant to say!

bottlegreen · 14/02/2017 19:15

Thibault Smile

RedSauce · 14/02/2017 19:16

I prefer Emile.

sonlypuppyfat · 14/02/2017 19:51

Never heard of Thibault not even sure how to pronounce it

Kennington · 14/02/2017 19:53

T-bo confuses more people I would think
So Emile is cute and got good associations

n0ne · 14/02/2017 20:09

I like Emile

SuperBeagle · 14/02/2017 20:13

Looking at Thibault, I want to pronounce it Thigh-bolt, even though I know it's not pronounced like that. I'd avoid that one unless you live in France.

Emile is fine. I prefer the spelling Emil.

AbbieJ · 14/02/2017 20:16

Super Emile is the French version.

Thanks all

Thibault

dementedma · 14/02/2017 20:22

Thibaut is a great name.

PlasticBertrand · 14/02/2017 21:02

Emile is retro chic. Thibault is ok but a bit eighties.

Ordinarily · 14/02/2017 21:52

Emile.

clumsyduck · 14/02/2017 21:58

I read it as thigh bolt
But it's pronounced t-bo apparently
Never heard of it . ( I'm northern and poor Wink )

T bo sounds like t bone no?

Stickerrocks · 14/02/2017 22:04

Please think about whether names like these will suit teenage boys with spots, games consoles and a class full kids with more conventional names. Cute babies grow up & often want to blend in. They are both so drippy.

Saucery · 14/02/2017 22:05

I'm Northern, Poor but did Shakespeare at school.

Aye
But that's Tybalt

reuset · 14/02/2017 22:08

Think OP might be French, sticker. It's perfectly normal name there. Emile is considered kind of old man chic, perhaps. Thibault was very popular 80s and 90s, and though not as popular still fairly popular now.

piginboots · 14/02/2017 22:23

I'm southern, middle class and did Shakespeare at school.

I also assumed Thibaut was Tybalt Blush

T-bo is cute. I like it.

Emile sounds a bit wet. Sorry.
