We're expecting a girl in May and have been looking at names. What are people's thoughts on Belle Breah Rose ( Breah is pronounced Bree ah) Smile

Is Rose your surname OP, or are you planning to have two middle names?

Are you totally set on Belle as a first name? I think Breanna Rose would be a lovely alternative if not.

Definatly want Belle as first name and Breah and Rose are middle names, I like Brianna but would be shortened to Anna, Breah is the English version of Brianna

I know a Breanna; she gets shortened to Bre. Pretty name.

What else are you looking at op? You said in your op that you are looking at names plural. Does that mean you have a list? If you are 100% sure of the name you have then it doesn't really matter what our opinions are Smile.

I'm about 70% sure on the name but just wondered what people's thoughts were or if anyone else had any suggestions for middle names for Belle

If I'm totally honest, I think there are nicer names around than Belle, but then it's not my DD! I wouldn't think "oh how awful" if I met someone with that name or anything, so go for it if that's what you like Smile.

How about:

Belle Meredith
Belle Serena
Belle Robyn
Belle Seren
Belle Sienna
Belle Rachel
Belle Rebecca
Belle Amelia
Belle Rosanna
Belle Caitlin

Yeah I really like Belle and I don't know anyone else called that, I've looked at every possible name and I either don't like them or their quite common , I can't find any other names that are nicer than Belle

I'm so jealous! I am desperate to call ours (if it's a girl) Belle. My DP doesn't like it. At all. Waaahhhhhh!!!!

I prefer Bella to Belle, but I think Belle Breah Rose is lovely. Smile Very pretty name.

Me too. We've got another now that I love, but it was touch and go for a while, I'm still prepared to play the "I've just pushed this human out of my tiny vagina now give me what I want" card that I've heard so much about though. I love Bella too.

I like Bella but it reminds me too much of twighlight and yes that's a very good way of getting the name you want lol

Belle is ok. I don't much like Breah, it looks like weird spelling/variant of something 'proper'

Anyone called belle would definitely have been nicknamed bellend when I was at school. I'm old though so don't know if that would still be a problem nowadays.

Belle is a lovely name and I instantly think of the main character from beauty and the beast.

Kids today have nicknames for any name , it dsnt matter what the name is . Yeah when I think of Belle I think of beauty and the beast

I dont like Breah at all, it looks like you mispelled something else. But it doesn't matter as nobody uses middle names anyway, they only seem important when you are thinking about names!

Report
Tory1982 · 09/02/2017 10:43

I like breah as it's different and I can't think of any other middle names to go with Belle , I think it's quite hard to match a middle name to the name Belle

Oh dear to 'bellend'... hadn't thought of that! But yeah, children will always come up with nicknames. I guess even names like Sarah or Rebecca could become something rude if you really put your mind to it!

If you wanted to avoid it you could always use Isobel or Annabel, shortened to Belle. Then at least she has the choice when she's older.

Belle Joni Rose
Belle Catherine Rose
Belle Verity Rose
Belle Winter Rose (though maybe that's a little too Disney princess)!
Belle Autumn Rose
Belle Lorelei Rose
Belle Lola Rose
Belle Penelope Rose
