We're expecting a girl in May and have been looking at names. What are people's thoughts on Belle Breah Rose ( Breah is pronounced Bree ah) smile

What a beautiful name! My baby niece is called Belle too smile

Sugarpiehoneyeye Wed 08-Feb-17 16:17:14

Lovely name OP 😀

KlingybunFistelvase Wed 08-Feb-17 16:52:27

Is Rose your surname OP, or are you planning to have two middle names?

Are you totally set on Belle as a first name? I think Breanna Rose would be a lovely alternative if not.

Tory1982 Wed 08-Feb-17 17:01:02

Definatly want Belle as first name and Breah and Rose are middle names, I like Brianna but would be shortened to Anna, Breah is the English version of Brianna

3catsandcounting Wed 08-Feb-17 17:30:56

I know a Breanna; she gets shortened to Bre. Pretty name.

What else are you looking at op? You said in your op that you are looking at names plural. Does that mean you have a list? If you are 100% sure of the name you have then it doesn't really matter what our opinions are smile.

Tory1982 Wed 08-Feb-17 18:13:28

I'm about 70% sure on the name but just wondered what people's thoughts were or if anyone else had any suggestions for middle names for Belle

KlingybunFistelvase Wed 08-Feb-17 18:38:09

If I'm totally honest, I think there are nicer names around than Belle, but then it's not my DD! I wouldn't think "oh how awful" if I met someone with that name or anything, so go for it if that's what you like smile.

How about:

Belle Meredith
Belle Serena
Belle Robyn
Belle Seren
Belle Sienna
Belle Rachel
Belle Rebecca
Belle Amelia
Belle Rosanna
Belle Caitlin

Yeah I really like Belle and I don't know anyone else called that, I've looked at every possible name and I either don't like them or their quite common , I can't find any other names that are nicer than Belle

Samatamfabahaba Wed 08-Feb-17 18:49:00

I'm so jealous! I am desperate to call ours (if it's a girl) Belle. My DP doesn't like it. At all. Waaahhhhhh!!!!

Tory1982 Wed 08-Feb-17 19:22:30

Awwwww fingers crossed you get a girl, I'm sure you can win him over with the name , Ive literally looked at every website and no other name sticks out

SuperBeagle Wed 08-Feb-17 20:20:36

I prefer Bella to Belle, but I think Belle Breah Rose is lovely. smile Very pretty name.

Samatamfabahaba Wed 08-Feb-17 20:28:52

Me too. We've got another now that I love, but it was touch and go for a while, I'm still prepared to play the "I've just pushed this human out of my tiny vagina now give me what I want" card that I've heard so much about though. I love Bella too.

Tory1982 Wed 08-Feb-17 20:39:52

I like Bella but it reminds me too much of twighlight and yes that's a very good way of getting the name you want lol

reuset Thu 09-Feb-17 10:07:44

Belle is ok. I don't much like Breah, it looks like weird spelling/variant of something 'proper'

ageingrunner Thu 09-Feb-17 10:12:21

Anyone called belle would definitely have been nicknamed bellend when I was at school. I'm old though so don't know if that would still be a problem nowadays.

Marlboroandmalbec34 Thu 09-Feb-17 10:13:29

I think its lovely x

Marlboroandmalbec34 Thu 09-Feb-17 10:16:24

I love Bella but have a Jacob so dh said no Edwards or Bella's x

Angelto5 Thu 09-Feb-17 10:21:04

Belle is a lovely name and I instantly think of the main character from beauty and the beast.

Tory1982 Thu 09-Feb-17 10:37:18

Kids today have nicknames for any name , it dsnt matter what the name is . Yeah when I think of Belle I think of beauty and the beast

NarkyMcDinkyChops Thu 09-Feb-17 10:40:38

I dont like Breah at all, it looks like you mispelled something else. But it doesn't matter as nobody uses middle names anyway, they only seem important when you are thinking about names!

Tory1982 Thu 09-Feb-17 10:43:05

I like breah as it's different and I can't think of any other middle names to go with Belle , I think it's quite hard to match a middle name to the name Belle

Tory1982 Thu 09-Feb-17 11:24:24

Does anyone have any other suggestions for a middle name for Belle it would be Belle something Rose thanks

KlingybunFistelvase Thu 09-Feb-17 11:25:47

Oh dear to 'bellend'... hadn't thought of that! But yeah, children will always come up with nicknames. I guess even names like Sarah or Rebecca could become something rude if you really put your mind to it!

If you wanted to avoid it you could always use Isobel or Annabel, shortened to Belle. Then at least she has the choice when she's older.
