What do you think of the name Hallie?

What do you think of the name Hallie? Do you think it is a pretty name? I really love it but after looking at so many girls names they are all blending into one now!

Do you think it would be viewed negatively in any way?

Thanks in advance! :)

My goddaughter is a Hallie, she's just turned two. It's a beautiful name but is slowly becoming more common (work in a maternity unit).

Is it Hallie like Sally or an alternative spelling of Hayleigh?

I don't like it (Halle or Hallie). It's just not a very nice sound to me. Reminds me of halitosis!

I'd assumed you'd misspelled Halle.

I would misspell it as I would assume it was the same as Halle Berry

My cousin has a Hallie. I think it's sweet. It seems a bit nicknamey though because of the -ie. ending. I think it was originally a nn for Harriet.

It's a bit American sounding for me

Report
GreenTrafficLights · 18/02/2017 23:25

It makes me think of The Parent Trap movie and Halle Berry. It's quite American sounding and I think it's association with Hayley makes it sound a bit dated to me.
