How old are they? Is it too popular?

UntilTheCowsComeHome Sat 28-Jan-17 00:21:47

I know 2.

One is 6, one is 1

It's a lovely timeless name.

I love the name Grace! It's popularity always put me off but thinking about it I actually only know 1 Grace. She is 5 years old. I work in a nursery so come in contact with lots of children. Over the last 3 years we've never had a Grace. Have had 2 Gracie's though.

Two. Mother and daughter. Daughter is about 40, mother about 70. I do think it's coming back into fashion now though

SloanyAnne Sat 28-Jan-17 00:23:04

I know loads - at least half a dozen of which 5 are under 10 & one adult.

Stuffedshirt Sat 28-Jan-17 00:28:43

None, I love the name and would have chosen it but have 3 DSs.

DramaAlpaca Sat 28-Jan-17 00:31:21

Only one, she's a teenager.

Watto1 Sat 28-Jan-17 00:33:04

One, age 8. Know several with Grace as a middle name though.

KERALA1 Sat 28-Jan-17 00:38:51

Lots. And weirdly they are all mean. Not a good association name in our house - both dds have an evil grace in their class.

BabyGirl17 Sat 28-Jan-17 00:39:07

Hmm, seems quite popular? sad she arrived this morning and looks like a Grace!

RockyBird Sat 28-Jan-17 00:41:41

Daughter's friend, age 8
Mother's boyfriend's sister, approx 60

Huge congratulations and I think if she looks like a Grace, there's your answer flowers

BabyGirl17 Sat 28-Jan-17 00:42:21

By 'this morning', I mean yesterday grin thank you smile

SloanyAnne Sat 28-Jan-17 00:42:37

Both Grace's I know are delightful. Daughters a person would be lucky to have.
Congratulations on your new arrival. Enjoy grin

I know of 2 Graces. One age 15/16. She made my daughter's life hell in primary school. And the other was a lovely lady I worked with over 20 years ago. She'd be in her 80's now if she is still alive Congratulations, if she is a lovely as my friend she will be loved by all who meet her. Can't say the same for the other one ... lovely name though.

Willialwaysbelookeddownon Sat 28-Jan-17 00:57:35

Popularity wouldn't put me off Grace as its so beautiful.
I know 4 Grace's in their 20's and a 7 year old Gracie.

Willialwaysbelookeddownon Sat 28-Jan-17 00:57:46

And they're all bloody lovely too.

AutumnalLeaves38 Sat 28-Jan-17 05:57:50

Many, many congratulations on your new arrival, OP, flowers

If you instinctively felt Grace to be the 'right fit', then I'm sure that's what it is.

Beautiful name. Yes, popular, but deservedly so.

badhotfanny Sat 28-Jan-17 06:20:14

I know one who is 9.

Dd2, 5, has it as a middle name.

In the high school where I teach, roll of c1000, there are probably about 5.

Pluto30 Sat 28-Jan-17 06:21:32

One. She's 21.

That's despite the fact that it's a top 10 name where I live.

esiotrot2015 Sat 28-Jan-17 06:23:13

Congratulations flowers

I only know one

It's a lovely name

OverAndAbove Sat 28-Jan-17 06:23:28

I know four, of primary and early secondary school age.

But I know about another few dozen who have it as a middle name. It seems really popular as a middle name, presumably being one syllable only?
