Dd1 due in 5 weeks.
Shortlist is
Vita
Elinor (Nell)
Beatrix (Bea or Trixie)
Estella (Tess)
Middle names will be Anwen Rose.
I also love love love Polly but it rhymes with my husband's name so he is vetoing. I wish he'd change his mind.
Which is your favourite? Be honest I can take it!

I love Estella (Tess).
Estella Anwen Rose, is beautiful.

They are all lovely though don't see how Estella shortens to Tess....

Probably my least favourite would be Elinor as it is quite popular and shortens to Ellie. Favourite is Vita - pretty and different.

I like Beatrix but it would give you the initials BAR so depends on the surname. Don't switch the middle names as then you'll have BRA!

Elinor Anwen sounds like a tongue twister/ hard to say, but I love Nell /Nellie.

Olly?

Beatrix.

I have a friend who has a partner called Olly and a daughter called Molly.

These are all gorgeous OP! Think I'd go for either Estella or Vita, although they feel quite different in style to me.

10 points to cosmic!
Do they get ridiculed because of the rhyming? I'm guessing not. Dh is being very definite about it. Grrr.

I like Vita and Beatrix.

DD once belinged to a club with a Polly, a Molly, an Olly, a Holly and five other children.

I like Eleanor best, I love Nell as a nn.

Quite like Vita although it makes me think of margarine for some reason?!

Beatrix is nice and I love Bea. Trixie is awful unless the baby is a cat or a dog. Or a pole dancer.

Really don't like Estella.

Anwen Rose are lovely middle names.

Elinor. Lovely and classic with good shortening options

I love Elinor but not the spelling. It seems like you're trying to hard to make it modern whenEleanor is a classic and doesn't need improvement.

Elinor
I would have called DD this, but she already had a cousin called Eleanor.

Estella but as per pp, I don't understand how you get Tess as a nn. Confused

Lovely. Unusual in a good way.

OMG Estella is beautiful!!!!
Not a fan of Vita (theres a brand in Australia called that).
Beatrix is okay, love the Beatrix Potter association, but don't think this name flows as well with the middle names you've chosen. Estella really does though.

Do they get ridiculed because of the rhyming? I don't think so generally. A couple of people were surprised then got over it.

That's what I think too, but he is adamant that it's a no go. I'm sad because I think my indecision over the final 4 indicates that none of them are THE name, whereas I feel like Polly is. Maybe he could change his name!
