I think we may have decided? Brother is Dylan.

Tia's really pretty, OP, and with a sweet name history.

As long as her middle name's not "Maria" ? wink

Dylan is one of my favourite boys' names, so a good combination all round, I'd say.

I once knew a of a girl called Tia Mai. For ages I thought everyone was calling her TMA! Tia is a lovely name though. Everyone will know how to pronounce it but it's jot common.

ChequeredPasta Wed 25-Jan-17 08:35:19

I can see why people like it, but it's a bit '90s' to me.
Much prefer Mia - I actually know of two year old twins called Dylan and Mia!

But, if you like it OP, go for it!

Tia is beautiful. And not too common/popular at the moment.

Sugarpiehoneyeye Wed 25-Jan-17 09:12:36

Dylan and Tia, perfect !

elQuintoConyo Wed 25-Jan-17 09:15:16

Tia is lovely.

Mia is bland.

Dylan and Tia sound nice together.

If anyone does the whole 'Tia Maria' joking bollocks, just completely deadpan them!

Tia in Spanish is aunt, which is lovely.

elQuintoConyo,

Do I need to consider myself deadpanned, then?! blush

DramaAlpaca Wed 25-Jan-17 10:55:21

Very pretty, and goes well with Dylan.

Notso Wed 25-Jan-17 11:21:12

I don't like it at all.

MarmiteDoesYouGood Wed 25-Jan-17 11:51:39

As a Spanish speaker it sounds weird as a name to me.

elQuintoConyo Wed 25-Jan-17 11:56:24

Autumnal just one raised eyebrow grin

I live in Spain with a Spanish DH and I don't think it is weird. It wouldn't work here, that's not to say it wouldn't work in the UK. DS has a Tia Maria and she loves her moniker!

It isn't like Tia = Spanish for bumhole, or something.

MrsSchadenfreude Wed 25-Jan-17 11:59:40

Nice. I have an Estonian friend called Tiia.

joannegrady90 Wed 25-Jan-17 18:01:52

Not keen on it at all.

Went to school with a few Tias. All chavvey and very much similar.

VanillaSugar Wed 25-Jan-17 18:03:32

Tia Maria grin

MollyHuaCha Wed 25-Jan-17 18:06:00

Tia is really lovely.

pinkieandperkie Wed 25-Jan-17 18:08:47

I went to school with a lovely girl called Ria.

indigo13 Wed 25-Jan-17 18:28:46

Its very pretty but there's not enough to it for me

EssentialHummus Wed 25-Jan-17 18:31:08

Lovely

novelsandnaps Wed 25-Jan-17 18:36:19

I know a wonderful Tia, not chavvy whatsoever. She has also lived in Spain and no problems with the name there. x

Sadfacehappyface Wed 25-Jan-17 18:47:11

I really like the name Tia but it always makes me think of Thanks In Advance when I see the name. I also think Missing In Action when I see the name Mia.

leccybill Wed 25-Jan-17 18:55:29

I like Rhea. Heard this recently and liked it.

Tia is the 00s version of the 80s Tina.
I also know a staff bull terrier called Tia.

MrsSchadenfreude Thu 26-Jan-17 20:56:09

Rhea End, though?!

Joeybee Thu 26-Jan-17 21:03:19

For me it's too cutesy, I can't see a woman called Tia being taken seriously. However as nn for something I think it's ace.
