Can't decide if i love it

A series of unfortunate events. It has positive connotations for me.

I like it.

Zippidydoodah Wed 18-Jan-17 23:49:22

"Violet! You're turning violet, Violet!"

Popped straight into my head! I love the film though, so it's not negative for me!

MollyHuaCha Wed 18-Jan-17 23:50:42

maisybobbins Wed 18-Jan-17 23:54:07

I'm afraid it's Violet Beauregard from the chocolate factory.

Or Violent

Not my cuppa, but then, not my baby! If you love it and it goes nicely with last name then my opinion doesn't really matter all that much.

Charlie too.

Same as fusspot66 grin

It's a nice name, though.

tigerdriverII Thu 19-Jan-17 00:19:26

Thcweam and thcweam until I'm thick.

It's a pretty name but a bit Victorian tweeny even without the Just William connotation.

Beeziekn33ze Thu 19-Jan-17 00:20:28

Like all the flower names, Poppy, Lily, Daisy, Rosie, Violet, Iris. They make me think of the flowers.

Eeeek686 Thu 19-Jan-17 00:26:21

I know a little Violet, she's 4 and adorable! I've heard on here before something which is proven to be true - all past connotations disappear in the presence of your child, and it will be the same for your friends and family, I guarantee it. smile

It's a lovely name, if you like it, use it!

notangelinajolie Thu 19-Jan-17 00:35:46

I don't think of the colour at all. I think of Violet Elizabeth from Just William books. Oh and didn't Hyacinth Bucket have a sister called Violet?

It's a lovely name, congratulations!
