Callum, every second boy at DD and DS2 nursery is called Archie, it's the new Alfie.

Callum. Archie is so popular right now, it will date quickly. Plus it sounds like a nn, not a proper first name IMO.

And Callum goes really well with a brother Jack. Two strong names.

Callum although I know far more Callums (teenagers) than Archies.

Archie is becoming ubiquitous and I can't stand the nicknames as first names trend (ditto Alfie, Charlie, Harry). In years to come, Archie and Alfie will be seen as very much of their era (like it is a fair bet that a Kevin was born in the 70/ early 80s or a Sandra or a Janice was born in the 50s or 60s)

Callum, for all the reasons above.

Callum lovely strong name and less common around here anyway!

Another vote for Callum. I know a few Archie and Alfie kids already and while cute for a baby - they're not great for later on. Alfie is on our list as DH loves it but it won't be what we pick.

I prefer Callum, it's a stronger name and less trendy than Archie.

Don't move to Scotland then! Tis wall to wall Callums, although they tend to be on their mid 20s.

Callum. I really disliked Archie (and Alfie) as names exactly as people above have said.

Callum. As PP said, Archie is way too overused at the minute.

I think Archie but that's because of it's the name we are having if our baby is a boy x
