Initials spelling a word?

Does it matter if a your initials spell a word? Our dd''s will potentially spell a word, nothing offensive or weird mind but just wondered if it could lead to teasing...

Someone pointed out to us on the way home from the registry office that DS's initals spell Raj, wasn't intentional but now I quite like it. I think as long as it's not a rude word you're fine

What's the word? That's the key thing.

My initials were the shortened version of my name so for example but not my name Samantha Angela Morrison. SAM. My mum did confess that they made suggestions like Beatrice Ursula BUM and things when naming me HmmGrin the long winter nights just fly by in my parents house.

That's quite clever Looksbetterwithafilter - BUM would have been pretty harsh.

As long as you're aware of it when choosing a name and don't pick anything with an insulting or rude word it should be fine

I think fine as long as it's not offensive or embarrassing.

One of my DDs is DEB, another is LEB.
It's fine as long as not offensive. Jam is quite cute really.

My best friend's initials spell VAG.

She didn't notice until we pointed it out when she was 20.

JAM is probably fine. If you have another middle name that you like equally as much, then it probably would be the deciding factor in me choosing the other name over that one, but I wouldn't go changing it deliberately.

On initial coincidences, my initials, if you count which letter of the alphabet each initial is, spell out my birthday, so like JG for a birthday of 10/7.

I have a friend with the initials VAG too. That's what we call her......

LOL at VAG - that'd be awful.

I was going to be a WC until my mum realised and I ended up a JC

JAM is fine and quite cute. We discussed the same topic and decided we would avoid BOOB and BOMB Grin

Also friends with surname West considered Natalie until I said she'd be Nat West. They went with a different name!

I'd rather be BOMB than JAM. Think JAM is terrible - sorry 😐

Ha moocher, that's what we call her too. Wonder if it's the same friend...

Dh s initials would have been MAD if his middle name was Andrew, fortunately his parents changed their mind, but it would have suited him Grin

Dd has a friend with FIG, and that's what they call her.

We're expecting DD2, unless we change our minds, her initials will be BAM. I quite like that.
JAM is fine.

My brother is JAM.

He was called "little jammy face" when he was a baby, but I don't think it's ever been an issue since. I guess he might not want a momgrammed briefcase (do people even have them, nowadays?) with JAM on it.

If it was SUK or DUM or something like that, I wouldn't do it, but JAM is quite innocuous, surely?

I'm a JAM and my DD is CAB never bothered me really!

JAM is fine, I think.

My mother's initials are BadMotherFucker. She hates me for pointing that out.
