For a middle name? smile

Bluntness100 Thu 12-Jan-17 19:54:08

It's unusual, is there a significance to it?

Surreyblah Thu 12-Jan-17 19:55:02

Wacky and a well known paint colour but quite sweet!

Also one of those names that implies a gentle personality, like Grace, which is tempting fate for a hellraising DC!

MinisWin Thu 12-Jan-17 19:57:12

Love it!

MaryPoppinsPenguins Thu 12-Jan-17 19:57:59

I'm not keen... I just don't think it sounds like a name blush

KatherinaMinola Thu 12-Jan-17 19:58:52

I absolutely love it - wish I'd thought of it! grin

AliceInHinterland Thu 12-Jan-17 19:58:55

I think it's sweet, especially for a middle name. My only reservation is the verb meaning of the word, to fawn.

PurpleDaisies Thu 12-Jan-17 19:59:15

I don't like it. Why do you want to use it as a name? It sounds like a paint colour.

Ollycat Thu 12-Jan-17 19:59:22

It's a baby deer - if you love it go with it smile names are such a personal thing.

KatherinaMinola Thu 12-Jan-17 19:59:24

I'm sure there was a children's book with a girl called Fawn in it.

Manumission Thu 12-Jan-17 20:02:16

I like it. Pretty. Not too fussy or frilly. Overtones of Faye, Dawn and other more established names. Yes, I like it.

Sierra259 Thu 12-Jan-17 20:03:47

Not overly keen. For no other reason than I just think "Bambi"

Dolwar Thu 12-Jan-17 23:19:30

I just think of a blah colour of paint.

Efferlunt Thu 12-Jan-17 23:26:29

Not keen. It's a sort of beige at least that's what it reminds me of. Fern on the other hand I love!

DramaAlpaca Thu 12-Jan-17 23:50:51

I'm not too keen, but I do like Fern.

OrangeJulius Thu 12-Jan-17 23:59:29

Love it, and the alternative Faun.

Manumission Fri 13-Jan-17 00:10:19

Faun? hmm

aretheyhavingalaff Fri 13-Jan-17 00:17:55

Sounds very "beige" to me.

DixieNormas Fri 13-Jan-17 00:26:22

I know a Fawn, his brother is Fox. Im not keen, although better as a middle name than first name

MommaGee Fri 13-Jan-17 00:34:31

Hhmm I think "everyone was fawning over her" and it rhymes with porn. Sorry. its pretty but I do think there's scope for teaaing

TheMysteriousJackelope Fri 13-Jan-17 00:48:36

Don't go with faun, that's a half man half goat.

IWouldBeSuperb Fri 13-Jan-17 02:57:31

I've seen Faune as a first and middle name - I think it's pretty!

IWouldBeSuperb Fri 13-Jan-17 03:00:47

^ First and middle name on different people obviously - Faune Faune would be taking it too far! :D

Ipushedmygrannyaffabus Fri 13-Jan-17 03:01:53

I think it's quite pretty as a middle name but now it's driving me. Mad trying to think of the kids book that had a girl called fawn as a character, I'm sure there was one!

TheDropBear Fri 13-Jan-17 03:05:06

Ipushed One of the Disney fairies is called Fawn, could that be it?
I wouldn't use it as a first name but think its fine as a middle name.
