It's abysmal.

Much like the books and films.

It's really bad. Sorry, but you did ask.

I think you will regret it. Is very novelty. Also will get teased mercilessly by other kids.

Could you go with something similar instead? Maybe:
Esme
Renee
Rhiannon
Rae
Regan

Ehrm, are uou serious? You'd give your kid s lifetime of issues with it.

It was a special name for the characters. I don't really see how it's a special name for you though. Why not merge your and your partners Mum's names? Would that work?

I like it.

Oh god. No. I had to stop reading the books when they called the kid that it: so, so bad.

(I'm sorry to be so blunt. I just don't think it can get much worse).

It's not great OP. Sorry, I know you like it. But even as a word it looks ugly written down. Very hard to read and pronounce.

I think we'd be doing your daughter a big favour to steer you away from it.

Now this is why i asked.. I love the name but didnt know whether i loved it enough to use.. But seeing it written down does make it look ugly lol xx

Good stuff. Anything else you like? Like MaryGrin

Enjoy choosing! I thought of lots of interesting names while pregnant but now that my kids are here I'm glad I went with nice ordinary names.

Ill blame the hormones on the thought of even thinking of that name Grin

Esme would be nice.

squoosh · 10/01/2017 23:09

I think Renee is a great name. Has a bit more zhuzh than Esme.

Report
Sophronia · 10/01/2017 23:16

I'd go with Renee or Esme instead

If it makes you feel any better, my hormones had me spending all of Monday truth to convince my partner that Forest was a good name for a baby girl... Needless to say I woke up on Tuesday morning disgusted with myself. Hormones are dicks.

It's not the best, agree with other posters that Renee of Esme would be much nicer!

SeveredPixieBits · 10/01/2017 23:34

It's atrocious. Betty's list up thread is a good one.

Report
LegArmpits · 10/01/2017 23:40

Oh no. Please don't. Pregnancy hormones are ridiculous! (Nearly called first born Tiger Ben 😂)

Report
LegArmpits · 10/01/2017 23:40

Oh...on the other hand I feel slightly broody for a girl called Forest...

Report
IWantATardis · 10/01/2017 23:46

Not a name I like. It sounds really clunky to me, and it's rather ugly sounding.

Agree that either Renee or Esme would be much nicer.

Oh god no. Don't do this to your child.

Even Stephenie Meyer thinks it's a bad idea! Also, it's seemingly spelt Renesmee in the books - although I will admit I haven't read them.

Esme is lovely.

Renesmee is not! Grin
