Heyy what d'yall think to the name Renesmae for a girl? I love it and also love twilight lol!! Xx

NotTodaySatan Tue 10-Jan-17 22:49:56

It's abysmal.

Much like the books and films.

DramaAlpaca Tue 10-Jan-17 22:52:09

It's really bad. Sorry, but you did ask.

10Betty10 Tue 10-Jan-17 22:52:28

I think you will regret it. Is very novelty. Also will get teased mercilessly by other kids.

Could you go with something similar instead? Maybe:

Bluntness100 Tue 10-Jan-17 22:53:09

Ehrm, are uou serious? You'd give your kid s lifetime of issues with it.

WaitroseCoffeeCostaCup Tue 10-Jan-17 22:54:01

It was a special name for the characters. I don't really see how it's a special name for you though. Why not merge your and your partners Mum's names? Would that work?

PointlessUsername Tue 10-Jan-17 22:54:08

I like it.

Thankyou smile just wanted to see what others thought. Didnt say it was special to me just that i like the name smile

Bellaposy Tue 10-Jan-17 22:57:23

Oh god. No. I had to stop reading the books when they called the kid that it: so, so bad.

(I'm sorry to be so blunt. I just don't think it can get much worse).

JaxingJump Tue 10-Jan-17 22:58:17

It's not great OP. Sorry, I know you like it. But even as a word it looks ugly written down. Very hard to read and pronounce.

I think we'd be doing your daughter a big favour to steer you away from it.

babynumber2xx Tue 10-Jan-17 23:00:10

Now this is why i asked.. I love the name but didnt know whether i loved it enough to use.. But seeing it written down does make it look ugly lol xx

JaxingJump Tue 10-Jan-17 23:05:50

Good stuff. Anything else you like? Like Marygrin

Enjoy choosing! I thought of lots of interesting names while pregnant but now that my kids are here I'm glad I went with nice ordinary names.

babynumber2xx Tue 10-Jan-17 23:07:18

Ill blame the hormones on the thought of even thinking of that name grin

buttercup54321 Tue 10-Jan-17 23:08:13

Esme would be nice.

squoosh Tue 10-Jan-17 23:09:50

I think Renee is a great name. Has a bit more zhuzh than Esme.

Sophronia Tue 10-Jan-17 23:16:00

I'd go with Renee or Esme instead

10Betty10 Tue 10-Jan-17 23:23:20

If it makes you feel any better, my hormones had me spending all of Monday truth to convince my partner that Forest was a good name for a baby girl... Needless to say I woke up on Tuesday morning disgusted with myself. Hormones are dicks.

peasweet05 Tue 10-Jan-17 23:31:09

It's not the best, agree with other posters that Renee of Esme would be much nicer!

SeveredPixieBits Tue 10-Jan-17 23:34:31

It's atrocious. Betty's list up thread is a good one.

LegArmpits Tue 10-Jan-17 23:40:04

Oh no. Please don't. Pregnancy hormones are ridiculous! (Nearly called first born Tiger Ben 😂)

LegArmpits Tue 10-Jan-17 23:40:42

Oh...on the other hand I feel slightly broody for a girl called Forest...

IWantATardis Tue 10-Jan-17 23:46:32

Not a name I like. It sounds really clunky to me, and it's rather ugly sounding.

Agree that either Renee or Esme would be much nicer.

Aquamarine1029 Tue 10-Jan-17 23:51:56

Oh god no. Don't do this to your child.

raviolidreaming Wed 11-Jan-17 03:41:01

Even Stephenie Meyer thinks it's a bad idea! Also, it's seemingly spelt Renesmee in the books - although I will admit I haven't read them.
