Could I have two virtue names?

Or would that be very twee? Our first daughter is Felicity, which is sort of a virtue name, and our front runner for dd2 is the more overt Hope. Do you think people would make the connection, and if so, does it matter?

I think they sound fine together.

I think it's ok.

Two out of Hope, Grace, Faith and so on could be a bit much. But Felicity is, as you say, only 'sort of' like those names, so I doubt anyone would even notice.

I agree, I don't automatically think of Felicity as a virtue name. It's beautiful and so is Hope.

My dds' middle names are Hope, Grace and Joy. I love them all. Felicity would go well with Hope or Grace. I like Connie (Constance) as well.

Thanks all. Sounds like it's not a problem then. I hadn't considered Constance actually hippy. I really like it.

I don't think it's a problem. Some people might not like that sort of connection but plenty will Smile

I don't see the problem with Felicity, but wouldn't use other virtue names together - e.g. Hope and Faith, Faith and Joy

Felicity and Hope together are fine (and very lovely)

Felicity is lovely with both Hope & Constance.

Yep it's fine. Not like calling them Prudence and Patience or something like that.

I know a sister set of Felicity and Verity I think that is fine. I'd avoid things like Faith and Hope but I don't think most people even realise that Felicity has a meaning as s word these days. That said, I'd feel very sorry for Hope as Felicity is a fab name and Hope is pretty dull by comparison! Sorry. X

Felicity and Hope are fine together. I prefer Constance though Hope is nice too.

I like Constance, also Clemency. And Letitia ( happiness).

Very weirdly I can on to say 'you mean like Felicity Hope?'

I must put the lottery on this weekend!

They're lovely names & ho together really well.

No, not too themey at all. In fact, I think they go together really well.

Constance is wonderful though and seems an even better fit for Felicity to me. Both underused, ladylike and sort of buttoned-up (in a good way!)

Clemence or Clemency also lovely.

I associate Florence as a virtue 'type' name as well like Felicity.

I like the name Hope as well.

I went to school with sisters called Amity, Liberty and Felicity. All lovely girls but that was a bit much. Felicity and Hope is a great combination.

As long as you don't add a third child later called Derek, you'll be fine.

I have a Felicity Faith and a Hattie Hope-if my son had been a daughter I may have had a Constance Charity!
