Pretty and due a resurgence?

IHeartKingThistle Sat 31-Dec-16 00:41:35

Ooh pretty!

OvariesForgotHerPassword Sat 31-Dec-16 00:43:20

Nope.

DramaAlpaca Sat 31-Dec-16 00:43:49

No, not yet.

Sorry!

LouiseBrooks Sat 31-Dec-16 00:48:15

Lovely, and yes why not?

Nibledbyducks Sat 31-Dec-16 00:50:32

OK as long as you don't mind Billie and don't give a middle name begining with J, (yes, happened to a family member).

twinklefoot Sat 31-Dec-16 00:51:29

No - but like Billie.

Awwlookatmybabyspider Sat 31-Dec-16 01:59:23

Oh I like it, plus. There are plenty of nn options.
Belle
Bella
Lin
Linnie
Lindy.
I wouldn't have thought of Billie as a nn, tbh.

MilkTwoSugarsThanks Sat 31-Dec-16 02:03:45

Definitely pretty smile

TheUnforgiven Sat 31-Dec-16 02:08:52

Like it. My friend at university was Belinda, known as Bells (although she was vair posh)

GloriousRoob Sat 31-Dec-16 03:35:44

Love it.

FastWindow Sat 31-Dec-16 03:38:00

Yes yes yes. Love Belinda. Please use it, or Tabitha?

Pluto30 Sat 31-Dec-16 07:30:22

I don't like it.

I also think Billie is a standalone name, or a nickname for Wilhelmina, not a nickname for Belinda.

Bel is the nickname for the Belinda I know.

Batfurger Sat 31-Dec-16 07:35:32

theres a very popular podcast (and book) featuring a Belinda currently.

AmberEars Sat 31-Dec-16 07:37:05

I was at school with a Belinda, her nickname was Bim.

LobsterQuadrille Sat 31-Dec-16 07:40:42

I like it. I was at school with a Belinda and her nickname was Bellie - cruel as children are, and she was the only chubby 11 year old in 1980 in our year.

Vixxfacee Sat 31-Dec-16 07:43:08

No way

Cosmicglitterpug Sat 31-Dec-16 07:46:00

The Belinda I knew at school got called a'Belinda bell end' for years.
Barbara?

Stalingrad Sat 31-Dec-16 08:10:37

A girl at school was always teased as Belinda-the-bell-end.

AmberEars Sat 31-Dec-16 08:26:42

Just remembered that the Belinda I was at school with also got called Bimbo!

HawaiianPartyBunker Sat 31-Dec-16 08:45:07

'Belinda' sounds massively dated to me - there's nothing wrong with it as such, it's just very 80s and hasn't had the chance to get its second wind yet.

'Billie' is HORRID. Because I'm a bit slow, it took me ages to realise that the utterly gorgeous Billie Lourd is Carrie Fisher's daughter. Probably because I refuse to accept that anyone can name a child 'Billie'.

SaltedCaramelEverything Sat 31-Dec-16 09:07:48

Yes like it. So many nick names as PP has said

1horatio Sat 31-Dec-16 09:11:57

Billie is a cute nickname, I love it.

Belinda is absolutely lovely and Wilhelmina is simply fabulous, I also like Wilma smile

MollyHuaCha Sat 31-Dec-16 09:16:02

Nice

IAmNotTheOneWhoKnocks Sat 31-Dec-16 09:28:50

I've never known one, but I'm fairly certain she'd have been called bellend if I had.
