Is it too much...?

SaltyMyDear Fri 30-Dec-16 01:39:13

Do you like all of those movies an awful lot?

tygr Fri 30-Dec-16 01:49:31

Only if you also have an Oklahoma!

Slocky Fri 30-Dec-16 02:00:25

Not particularly! I just love the names... I have 2 of them already but never made the connection and then when we had found a name we love, we looked at them all and saw it!

Pluto30 Fri 30-Dec-16 06:17:09

I think it's fine.

Oliver and Matilda are very popular names, so their association with the movies has diminished significantly. Annie is the only one which might still immediately bring to mind the movie.

Yes

nuttyknitter Fri 30-Dec-16 07:03:56

Go for it! They're all lovely names.

Manumission Fri 30-Dec-16 07:13:11

You probably will get taken for a musical obsessive from time to time. Do you mind?

Zoflorabore Fri 30-Dec-16 07:17:12

I have an Oliver so am biased ;)

Yes of course you can- I know a family that have a Holly and Molly ( not twins ) and a family that have a Ollie and Molly!

Your names are great smile

ThroughThickAndThin01 Fri 30-Dec-16 07:26:00

I think you can. Written down it looks an obvious connection, but don't think when said it does.

Only1scoop Fri 30-Dec-16 07:26:48

Nooooshock

shirkingworking Fri 30-Dec-16 07:43:22

Yes! But I'm (very) biased. Is 'Annie' a nickname for Ann/Anne?

Decemberrat Fri 30-Dec-16 07:52:59

I don't know... are you opening an orphanage? grin

Raines100 Fri 30-Dec-16 07:55:53

As long as you haven't spelt it Oliver! Then I think you're ok.

stillwantrachelshair Fri 30-Dec-16 08:05:37

I think this is one of those sibling sets which might not dawn on me at first but, when it did, would make me smile to myself and, if I got to know you well, would probably ask about if names ever came up in conversation. I say go for it.
I think you have to have twins next called Oklahoma (as a PP suggested) and Chicago!

friskybivalves Fri 30-Dec-16 08:16:58

Only if you also have Cats.

AmberEars Fri 30-Dec-16 08:19:07

Agree that you may find that people chuckle about it and ask "do you realise...?" Would that annoy you?

Rainatnight Fri 30-Dec-16 08:20:01

I would just think you really, really loved musicals.

SerialReJoiner Fri 30-Dec-16 08:30:52

I wouldn't see it as a problem. Sibling names are only really discussed / noticed when the children are small, aren't they? As an adult, I don't really have cause to talk about my siblings by name to people in my day to day life.

Purplebluebird Fri 30-Dec-16 08:38:49

I like those names, together and on their own smile

DurhamDurham Fri 30-Dec-16 08:55:02

Lovely names.......of course you'd have to be a very musical family with lots of jazz hands at the breakfast table! smile

MelanieCheeks Fri 30-Dec-16 08:57:50

And every day will have to start with a family rendition of "Good Mornin;, good mornin'". complete with tap dancing down the hallway.star

Lovely names, all.

BakeOffBiscuits Fri 30-Dec-16 08:57:52

Are you thinking of having another one and naming him Joseph?

As soon as I saw the thread title I thought - god no, it's so obvious!

primarynoodle Fri 30-Dec-16 09:03:04

I have an Annie, it didn't occur to me about the film as she's named after family members but I have had a few comments.

I think they're beautiful names though so go for it!
