Hi, dd's name will be one of these. Possibly with the other as a middle name. Which would you go with?

FuzzyWizard Wed 28-Dec-16 22:56:30

I love both. I think I'd edge towards Frances though.

DramaAlpaca Wed 28-Dec-16 22:57:47

I prefer Joanna, so Joanna Frances.

SallyInSweden Wed 28-Dec-16 22:57:48

Frances for me, but like both

TheDowagerCuntess Wed 28-Dec-16 22:59:03

Definitely Frances - that bit more distinctive, and more nn options.

ShatterResistant Wed 28-Dec-16 23:00:41

I love Frances. So dignified. I wanted it for my dd, but family reasons prevented me.

Frances.

Joanna. It was top of my list if DS had been a girl. Beautiful name. Plus you can get the nickname Joanie too which is ace.

LastGirlOnTheLeft Wed 28-Dec-16 23:04:52

Joanna!! It is such a beautiful name. I love how it dances off the tongue and is almost like a song. Frances is nice but sounds quite boring in comparison. Joanna Frances is gorgeous!!!

AHintOfStyle Wed 28-Dec-16 23:05:04

Definitely Joanna though the spelling Johannah is also lovely.

Sophronia Wed 28-Dec-16 23:05:30

I am biased as my mum is a Frances... Frances definitely

Frances

whathaveiforgottentoday Wed 28-Dec-16 23:31:58

Frances definitely, but I like them both. Frances was my favourite name for my dd2 but DH vetoed it. Ended up with Francesca instead so she's still Fran.

ashesoffire Wed 28-Dec-16 23:34:26
