Love Monty, dislike Kyle

FellOutOfBed2wice Tue 27-Dec-16 01:58:00

My first thoughts are neither!!! Kyle makes me think of Jeremy Kyle (not great!) and Monty makes me think of the series of children's books from the 80s about a dog who wore glasses.

Ah shame you don't like either we love both! smile so will def be one of them - thanks for your vote on Monty, it's definitely a great name!

I like Monty, sounds fun and clever. Kyle I don't like at all.

Haggisfish Tue 27-Dec-16 02:16:48

Monty. Kyle I don't like and have taught too many naughty ones!

Kyle is very outdated.

ILoveAntButHateDec Tue 27-Dec-16 02:43:01

Sorry! I don't like either but your baby - your choice

Scoopmuckdizzy Tue 27-Dec-16 03:30:58

Month! If I was to have a DS4 I would name him Monty.

Scoopmuckdizzy Tue 27-Dec-16 03:31:32

That's supposed to say Monty! Not month....

Catinthecorner Tue 27-Dec-16 04:11:49

I know a Kyle. He's a crazy smart and generous bloke. So I'm voting Kyle

AyeAmarok Tue 27-Dec-16 07:45:26

Monty. Montgomery officially though, yes?

PlumsGalore Tue 27-Dec-16 07:47:10

Neither, Monty sounds like it's from an Enid Blyton book and Kyle is just, well let's say the complete opposite.

MrsMontgomerySmythe Tue 27-Dec-16 07:47:49

A vote for Monty - based on my username if could only be Monty.

MiniMaxi Tue 27-Dec-16 07:53:41

Very different feel to them - to me Kyle is a modern, preppy American-style name whereas Monty is old fashioned, sweet and English.

Off top of head can't remember if you've said whether you have other children yet or not - worth considering if it "goes" with existing names or types of names you may wish to use in future

Congrats by the way!

DartmoorDoughnut Tue 27-Dec-16 07:56:09

I vote Kyle because our 3 week old is Monty wink

Timefor2 Tue 27-Dec-16 07:57:04

Monty definitely.

Alexthekid Tue 27-Dec-16 08:00:00

Another vote for Monty! Love it!
