Names for twins

I am expecting boy/girl twins and can't really decide on names.
I don't want anything too twinny like topsy & Tim or ant & Dec 🙄😂
I have 2 names I love, trying to bring hubby round but he's not budging ATM.
Other ideas would help!

I don't know, Anthony and Decca could make a nice pair wink

What sorts of names do you like op? Classics? Long flowery names? More modern/American style...?

MumofthreeandBean Mon 26-Dec-16 09:50:42

I like something slightly different, my children so far are Kira-Rae, Cole & Charlie.
The names I like are Xanthie & Xander

Sugarpiehoneyeye Mon 26-Dec-16 10:47:52

I love Xanthe, correct spelling.
I like Xander too, but perhaps they are a little too similar.
How about Xavier.

Artandco Mon 26-Dec-16 10:51:00

Calendar??? Really??

QueenMortificado Mon 26-Dec-16 11:19:03

Ok I'm voting for Calendar and Remington

They could join other siblings Hoover, Samsung and Cupboard

cocoChloe Mon 26-Dec-16 11:19:03

Looking at the rest of your names all your kids have a C sound Quest and Cora might be cute.

cocoChloe Mon 26-Dec-16 11:20:27

Sorry guys calendar isn't a name 😂 spell check I meant Caleb

AuntieStella Mon 26-Dec-16 11:23:55

Quite a number of the names in the long lists aren't unique (except Calendar and Remmington) and some are encountered fairly frequently.

And for heaven's sake don't spell Xander with a Z (as a zander is a fish)

cocoChloe Mon 26-Dec-16 11:28:22

Calendar isn't a name i meant Caleb 😂 but oh well sorry about the Xander with a Z I've spelt it with an X on here I got told off! So I guess I can't please everyone.

NavyandWhite Mon 26-Dec-16 12:21:17

What sort of style do you like?

MumofthreeandBean Tue 27-Dec-16 07:46:35

A few names there I have already considered myself.
I would spell Xanthie with the ie because it would be after a lady I knew as a child, just needed something to go with it.
We saw the name Quinn yesterday and I quite like that too...

I'm not sure what style I like, open to most options within reason (calendar 😂😂)

CormoranStrike Tue 27-Dec-16 12:22:39

Xander is fab.

MumofthreeandBean Mon 06-Mar-17 11:00:23

We still can't agree - poor babies are destined to be nameless 🙄

ToastVacuum Mon 06-Mar-17 12:04:40

grin @ Calendar!

Cassia
Lydia
Maya
Summer

What sort of names does your DH like?

Xanthe and Xander are nice, but they are very similar. Would get too confusing for me. I like pp's suggestion of Xanthe and Xavier instead.

Crunchymum Mon 06-Mar-17 13:07:43

You don't want anything "too twinnie" but you like Xanthe and Xander? confused

Mu123 Mon 06-Mar-17 13:22:33

I know twinnies xander and freya, think the names go well together

FATEdestiny Mon 06-Mar-17 13:34:35

Jade and Moss (two shades of green)
Sorrel and Sage (herbs)
Halley and Comet :-)

MumofthreeandBean Tue 07-Mar-17 20:20:29

I didn't want xanthe and Xander together - I just like the names

Also like Cora, violet, Quinn

I think the boys name is hardest.

Dh doesn't like anything too different

Juveniledelinquent Tue 07-Mar-17 20:25:26

I'd pick very different names. For example Luke and Elizabeth, or Jonah and Eloise, or Matthew and Lilly.

PersisFord Tue 07-Mar-17 20:27:22

Arlo and elodie
