Names for twins

MumofthreeandBean · 26/12/2016 08:14

I am expecting boy/girl twins and can't really decide on names.
I don't want anything too twinny like topsy & Tim or ant & Dec 🙄😂
I have 2 names I love, trying to bring hubby round but he's not budging ATM.
Other ideas would help!

I don't know, Anthony and Decca could make a nice pair Wink

What sorts of names do you like op? Classics? Long flowery names? More modern/American style...?

I like something slightly different, my children so far are Kira-Rae, Cole & Charlie.
The names I like are Xanthie & Xander

I love Xanthe, correct spelling.
I like Xander too, but perhaps they are a little too similar.
How about Xavier.

Calendar??? Really??

Report
QueenMortificado · 26/12/2016 11:19

Ok I'm voting for Calendar and Remington

They could join other siblings Hoover, Samsung and Cupboard

Looking at the rest of your names all your kids have a C sound Quest and Cora might be cute.

Sorry guys calendar isn't a name 😂 spell check I meant Caleb

Quite a number of the names in the long lists aren't unique (except Calendar and Remmington) and some are encountered fairly frequently.

And for heaven's sake don't spell Xander with a Z (as a zander is a fish)

Calendar isn't a name i meant Caleb 😂 but oh well sorry about the Xander with a Z I've spelt it with an X on here I got told off! So I guess I can't please everyone.

A few names there I have already considered myself.
I would spell Xanthie with the ie because it would be after a lady I knew as a child, just needed something to go with it.
We saw the name Quinn yesterday and I quite like that too...

I'm not sure what style I like, open to most options within reason (calendar 😂😂)

We still can't agree - poor babies are destined to be nameless 🙄

What sort of names does your DH like?

Xanthe and Xander are nice, but they are very similar. Would get too confusing for me. I like pp's suggestion of Xanthe and Xavier instead.

You don't want anything "too twinnie" but you like Xanthe and Xander? Confused

Mu123 · 06/03/2017 13:22

I know twinnies xander and freya, think the names go well together

FATEdestiny · 06/03/2017 13:34

Jade and Moss (two shades of green)
Sorrel and Sage (herbs)
Halley and Comet :-)

I didn't want xanthe and Xander together - I just like the names

Also like Cora, violet, Quinn

I think the boys name is hardest.

Dh doesn't like anything too different

I'd pick very different names. For example Luke and Elizabeth, or Jonah and Eloise, or Matthew and Lilly.
