Looking for a girl's name to go with this surname

The surname is Lee.

We're looking for something relatively short both in syllables and number of letters (no more than 3 syllables at a push), something that is known and easy to spell/pronounce, but isn't overly popular, and something that sounds "nice" with our surname when said together.

Names we've considered but aren't sold on include:
- Hannah
- Sadie
- Juliet
- Daisy

The name we like most is Chloe, but it has been in the top 100 where we live since 1985 and is currently at no. 6, so it's simply too popular for us to want to use it.

Thanks everyone!

Remember Anna Lee? A detective series in the 1990s with Imogen Stubbs in the eponymous role. I loved it and the lead character's name too. So simple and strong. So how about Anna/ Hannah? For that matter I really like Imogen too...

Ann or Anna lee

Juliet sounds gorgeous with Lee.

What about:

Charlotte (or is it too popular?!)

Pluto30 Thu 22-Dec-16 00:45:20

I quite like Anna, but we have a family member (only 4yo) named Annalie, which is exactly how Anna Lee sounds. She never has her name shortened (yet), and of course ours would never be referred to by her full name in the family, but it still seems a bit too similar.

We had the same thought about Hannah. It might be different enough to work though.

Imogen is lovely... I do like Immy a lot.

I like Daisy the most out of those OP. What about other flower names that have some meaning to you, like Poppy; or meaningful months, like April? I also like Grace and Evie to go with Lee.

Pluto30 Thu 22-Dec-16 00:46:55

We have a Charlotte in the family too, plus it's the no. 1 most popular name here.

I like Lottie but can't have a Lottie Lee! grin

I love Josie short for Josephine but DH isn't having it. angry

Pluto30 Thu 22-Dec-16 00:48:03

I love Grace Wye

That's not one we've really considered... May have to mention it to DH.

I think I like the ---a sound leading into Lee...

Not daisy lee - sounds like dairylee!

Chloe is nice and I don't think too popular - names are more diverse nowadays so even popular names are used less often - ie you'll still only get one Amalia/Isabelle per class rather than the 3 Hannah's etc I had growing up!

Sadie is lovely too.

I agree with EweAreHere that pattern of name sounds much less cluttered even though they are longer, and all are easily shortened.

To add to that list:
Anastasia Lee
Arabella Lee
Christina Lee
Philippa Lee
Georgina Lee
Helena Lee
Jocasta Lee
Marina Lee

I also agree with the a sounds but I had a friend, one if 5 sisters, and they all had conventional names not ending in a, sounded fine.
