Hi, this is my first MN post Xmas Smile
I would love some advice/ ideas for name of dd2 due next year. Hubby has basically removed himself from the equation as we could literally not agree on one name for our first daughter which caused so much stress that he has now said whatever I want he will go along with (hence I need someone else to bounce ideas off!). I love vintage/old lady names and especially ones that have been in my family.. so this is my list.. and our first daughter is called Beatrice (Bea) so I would obvs like it to 'go' together..

Stella Violet (which would give her same initials as me)
Iris Cecily
Mable Florence
Violet Hope
Cecily Hope
Cosima Iris

Any other ideas? thoughts?
Thanks Smile

Very pretty names (although I would spell it Mabel, not Mable) - but I think I like Stella Violet best.

I'd take Mable off, my husband had an aunt Mable, who was lovely, but it's too old ladyish for me. Iris is a nice name from that list.

Cecily is the one I like best from your list.

Mabel doesn't go very well with Beatrice imo. I don't think its pretty enough for them to 'go' together.

Blythe is one of my most favourite vintage names. I also like Clementine and Henrietta.

I like Mabel and would consider using it (Granny's middle name) Cosima is also very pretty, they feel like quite different names to me.

You have great taste!

I like Iris and Beatrice together.

Stella Violet is beautiful too.

I'm assuming it's Mabel? I like Mabel too.

Bea and Mabel would be adorable.

I'm no help. Ignore me.

Nice!!
My favourite is Cosima, I seriously love that name.
Iris is also beautiful.
I praonally am not a fan of Cecily (but I do love Celia/Cecilia). Do you like Celeste?

I agree with the person suggesting Beatrix.

Cosima Beatrix is gorgeous.
I also really like Hope as a middle name. But then again, I also like Patience, Verity, Prudence, Clemence, Honor, especially as middle names.

I love Stella, I wish I had another DD as I'd definitely name her Stella.

Thank you so much everyone! Oops, yes I spelt Mabel wrong (dyslexic!). I'm glad there are some Stella fans as I worried if people would associate it with the lager, but I just love that it means star and it was my great aunts name.
Thanks for all the great ideas.. Nancy is really growing on me.
Thanks all!

My favourite names in yours are Iris and Florence. I've not come across Cosima. Not keen on Violet (I don't know anyone with the name and it just reminds me of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Of PP suggestions I like Elizabeth.is Victoria traditional?
