Nathaniel! It was on our list too, but we knew one so didn't use it.

Nathaniel. I don't like Noah at all, sorry.

I love the name Nathaniel, not keen on Noah.

I love Nathaniel (and have one!) but if you live in South London be prepared for the fact that he WILL be called Nafanyull by all and sundry. DS was convinced that was his name as it's what his nursery carers called him.

Lots of nickname potential which can be good or bad depending on your outlook!

I like Nate or Nat as a nn

I would shorten to Nathan! I don't like Nat or Nate at all.

Noah has become incredibly popular in the last ten years or so, but both are nice

Which works best with your surname / any potential middle names?

Jooni Wed 14-Dec-16 17:17:51

Noah is nice but Nathaniel is gorgeous.

Sophronia Wed 14-Dec-16 17:26:44

Nathaniel. Noah is so popular.

DramaAlpaca Wed 14-Dec-16 22:06:23

I really dislike Noah.

I can't stand Nathaniel. But that's because I know one and he's a rude better than you boy.

Love Noah and know a couple of lovely ones.

Nathaniel defiantly, lovely name with good nickname potential.

If we ever have another son, it would be called Nathaniel.

Thingvellir Wed 14-Dec-16 23:09:34

I love both but Nathaniel (nn Nate) is a bit less popular so I'd go for that. However I suspect it's a name that's gathering speed at the moment so you might find it gets s lot more common in the next year or so. (I found this with DDs name, was relatively unusual when I chose it, now they are everywhere)

BikeRunSki Wed 14-Dec-16 23:11:44

I like them both, but prefer Nathaniel.

Rinmybell Thu 15-Dec-16 23:05:49

Love both. One is a sons first name, the other is my others sons middle name 😊
Seriously don't understand how anyone can dislike either!!

I also like Nathan. And the nn Nate.
