I saw it on that 4 year old program, the boy was adorable! His name was Enzo... I had never heard of it, but really like it.

Thoughts?

I think it's short for the Italian name Lorenzo. I think it's ok but I wouldn't be surprised if other come on to ask if you have any Italian connections, implying, or even simply saying, that if you don't you shouldn't use it.

Love Lorenzo, is Enzo a nick name !
Could you tell us your surname OP, or similar !

Love Lorenzo/Enzo but unless you have some Italian somewhere in your family I think it would be a bit weird to call your baby by that name.

mumsnit - if he's called Lawrence (Lorenzo in Italian) then he's already halfway there!

I like it but I think that's because I also watched the programme and yes, the boy was adorable!

I didn't see the program and can only envisage it on an adult for some reason! I don't like it that much but don't hate it either.

Enzo Ferrari - possibly one of the most famous names in Italy - founder of Ferrari.

This car is the Enzo, named for him obviously. It's a cool name but the association will probably be brought up quite a lot.

I know a toddler Enzo (I'm pretty sure no Italian heritage) and I was a bit Hmm when I was first heard the name but it's really grown on me now.

As a shortening of Lorenzo it's quite nice and v much suited the little boy on tv!

Does make me think a bit of Benzos tho.

My brother is Enzo, but it is short for Lorenzo. He's currently a cool teenager and going as "Ren" but he'll always be little Enzo to me.

I think Enzo is actually quite a lovely stand alone name.

griffinsss · 21/11/2016 00:47

But clearly I think it's very cutesy! Probably why my brother hates it!

Prefer Lorenzo with Renzo as a nickname .
